About this property
Treehouse for 10 with Expansive Outdoor Living Space
Come create unforgettable memories in this enchanting treehouse, hand-milled from local logs, built around living trees, set next to a gentle creek & perched high above the ground amongst the towering trees of Qualicum Beach. Escape the ordinary in this whimsical one-of-a-kind accommodation that sleeps 10 and boasts 3 bedrooms, plus a cozy loft. Unwind on one of the multiple decks, soak in the outdoor bathtub under the stars, gather in the undercover terrace & go play in the playground!
Large enough for the whole family, this masterpiece was completely custom built by the island born owner using only trees that were lovingly harvested and hand milled from the 4 acre property. Every touch is truly west coast inspired, capturing the laid back essence of the island perfectly.
Centrally located on the island, the Treehouse serves as an ideal base for exploring the vibrant attractions, festivals, markets, and dining options that Vancouver Island has to offer. For guests arriving from Vancouver, the Nanaimo ferry terminals are a convenient 45 minute drive up Highway 19.
Walk up the front stairs where you will see the first deck, complete with outdoor table for 6 and a large BBQ where you can dine al fresco & savour your meals surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature.
Enter the front door into the cozy, open concept living area, furnished with a couch & armchair, 57” TV with streaming, a 6 person dining table, seating for 3 more at the kitchen island and French doors that open to a covered deck with bar for 2 just off the dining area.
Prepare your meals in the fully equipped kitchen, stocked with all the amenities you’ll need to whip up culinary delights for your whole group and a dishwasher to clean up afterwards.
After a day of connection, relaxation and adventure, retire to one of the 3 comfortable bedrooms, each thoughtfully appointed to ensure a peaceful night’s sleep.
Down the hall, you’ll find the first bedroom with a queen bed, wardrobe closet & private deck.
The main bathroom with shower/tub combo is across the hall and the laundry area a few steps away.
Next you’ll arrive at the master bedroom where you’ll be awestruck by the giant living tree rising up through the floor and whimsical circular cedar door leading out to the wrap around deck. Grab a couple house coats and head out for a dip in the clawfoot tub then relax in your robe at the live edge cedar bar. A second full bathroom with a beautifully tiled standup shower and copper sink is also part of this grand ensuite.
Finally you’ll reach the 3rd spacious bedroom with bunk beds and dressers for 2 but large enough to comfortably sleep 2 more on the double pull out bed. A door leads out to the wrap around deck from this room as well!
If you have a larger group, there’s a fun & cozy hideaway loft accessed via ladder above the dining room that’s perfect for a couple kids or an adventurous adult to snuggle in to a full size bed.
Outside on the wrap around decks, find a table for 2, a sun lounger, the clawfoot tub (with hot & cold water) & the live edge bar with seating for 4 and plenty of standing room for more.
Mosey down the epic spiral staircase circling a tree to the huge undercover terrace. The perfect spot to gather, with Adirondack chairs, a second bar, fridge, and even a second washer & dryer. Play a game of ping pong, toss some bean bags, or lay in one of the hammocks with a good read. There’s definitely something to keep everyone entertained!
From the terrace, wander into the yard, stroll through the garden & find the sandbox for the kids, look for a trail that winds around the property and observe the native plants, or take your dogs for a walk along the railroad tracks for miles. Little ones will love the children's playground, complete with trampoline, swings and slides. The property truly is a nature lover's paradise!
After a busy day, fall asleep to the gentle sounds of swaying trees and wake up rejuvenated, ready to explore all that the Oceanside area has to offer. From pristine beaches just minutes away, to hiking, biking, caving, boating & paddling - there’s something nearby for every outdoor enthusiast to enjoy. Or simply relax and unwind in the tranquility of the treehouse oasis, where every moment is a memory waiting to be made. Whether you’re planning a family getaway, a romantic holiday or a reunion with friends, our treehouse promises an unforgettable experience that will leave your soul FULL.
