Great location, basically right next door to Freemon’s. The 3 bedrooms are nice and the couch and TV were perfect for 3 tired fishermen to chill out on. What would make it 5 stars:1) Add a toaster2) Add a teapot for coffee pour-overs (there was a Keurig but not a regular coffee machine)3) Add garbage bins. We purchased large hefty bags and put garbage in the garage.4) Have body wash or a bar of soap in each of the showers.5) Have at least 2 rolls of TP in each bathroom. We would stay again!

Disliked: Check-in, communication
Nice place but communication with host was bad
We did not receive arrival instructions until I asked hours before arrival. Host said she sent Docusign to my email but I did not recieve. And, communication was outside VRBO app. Garage was a mess, 2 types of coffee makers but only 2 coffee cups for 6 people. Water pump makes lots of noise disrupting sleep in the master. bedroom. Soap was empty at kitchen sink. We weren’t sure what to do with trash.
A catastrophic experience- do not book this property.
We paid thousands of dollars for our only family vacation of the year—during peak season—in one of the most remote corners of Colorado. After hours of travel across Texas, New Mexico, and rural mountain roads, my husband, our two young daughters, and my elderly parents finally arrived. Every detail had been planned months in advance. We were excited. Our kids were thrilled. What we didn’t plan for? Being completely ghosted by the property owner. There were no check-in instructions. No entry codes. No responses. No support. We tried everything—messages through VRBO, phone calls—and heard nothing. Not then. Not later. Not ever. No apology, no explanation, nothing. We were stranded in a sparsely populated tourist town late into the evening, during its busiest season of the year, with no place to stay. We had frantic children, very limited cell service, and nowhere to go. We were ultimately forced to scramble for an alternative—sharing a home with someone else just to have shelter. This wasn’t a small oversight. It was a total failure of basic responsibility. The host’s negligence nearly cost us thousands more in rebooked lodging, groceries, rental cars, flights, gas, PTO, etc. We received a refund for the booking, but nothing for the emotional and financial damage caused by this fiasco. It’s frankly appalling that this listing is still active. Avoid this property. Avoid this host. And VRBO, do better.
