Great location and a comfortable home. VERY well equipped kitchen, and excellent communication with the host, Lisa. The neighborhood is well kept and quiet, and the pickleball courts across the street were active but never intrusive to us. We also felt very welcome with our senior yellow lab, as we walked through the area and spent time at the state park campground and local lakes. It was really hot during our stay (95), but the air conditioners throughout the house really helped us to stay comfortable. It cooled off at night, and the morning breeze felt great as we opened the house up each day.The summer season in Graeagle isn’t quite at full swing yet, which was great for crowds, but the dining options are quite limited Mon-Wed. We tried some places that were new to us: Sierra Smokeshow in Blairsden for GREAT brisket, and a casual burger dinner on the outside patio at Graeagle Roadhouse— they were totally swamped on a Tuesday evening, as it was literally almost the only open restaurant in the area! Although service was slow, the staff kept their senses of humor and the food and drinks were good and worth the wait.We have been spending time at/near Graeagle in early summer for about 40 years, and this was one for the books. We would love to stay here again!
