Host profile image
Hello! We have been enjoying the Cape Cod National Seashore for generations with our own families and love the beauty of this special place. We are Vermonters and now claim the Outer Cape as our home away from home (an easy spot to lure our adult children home to!)

Being experienced travelers ourselves and long-term rental hosts as well, we appreciate what makes a stay comfortable and easy. What we value as hosts: we do not charge additional fees - we clean and thoughtfully maintain our home for you our as our guests, we do not charge a cleaning fee; we provide high quality bed linens, bedding, and towels so that you just have to pack your clothes; we provide tuned-up bikes, comfy beach chairs, and cool family games to keep you entertained and your car load light; and our home is clean, modern, and well-designed for our guests comfort and ease; come and relax!

Why they chose this property

We love the outdoors and we love playing outside. Eastham is the gateway to the Cape Cod National Seashore and our home is just steps to the Salt Pond Visitor Center; a gem on the Outer Cape. The house is under three minutes walk to the bicycle/walking paths of the Salt Pond Center and an easy kayak launch. The paths are an easy two miles to Coast Guard Beach, regarded as one of the most beautiful beaches, and then to Nauset Light. Cape Cod Bay is less than two miles away: First Encounter Beach, a beautiful spot for bay swimming and sunsets, is a nice walk or cycle. Our house is less than a mile to the Cape Cod Rail Trail and from there, well, the Outer Cape is your oyster! By car or bus (public buses stop at the Salt Pond Center), Ptown is only 25 minutes of gorgeous drive "north", with Truro and Wellfleet along the way. Just "south" is Orleans, with lovely shops and dining, and Chatham to the wildlife refuge or it's charming town center. Lighthouses are literally down the road and all across the Outer Cape.

What makes this property unique

Our property is tucked into a sandy-lane neighborhood of quiet homes and woods, birdsong, and wind through the pines. It is nice to be home, especially after a busy beach day, and particularly nice to swim privately, relax in the screened porch, and enjoy dinner at home - on the porch or on the patio.
