This brand new modern cabin, located on 100 acre, is a great place for a group of up to 6 to stay in a peaceful setting and enjoy creation. With two bedrooms, and a full bath this cozy house set among the trees is a great place for a couple's getaway or vacation with the kids.
Coffee on the front porch, walking the trails, and being visited by the resident farm dogs are the top things guests enjoy during their time.
We live on the same property as the cottage so we will probably see each other at least once. We would love to chat if both of our schedules allow!
There is off street parking next to the cottage with enough space for at least two vehicles. House is entered via a keyless lock. You will receive the code shortly before your stay.
There is a piece of land that lies in the rolling, bluegrass covered hills of Kentucky that reminds one of days gone by. This land, land that was created with loving curves and soft edges, teaches us to rest, to enjoy, to trade screens for sunsets and phones for fresh air.
We hope you find the joy and grace that leads to thanksgiving while you are here!
**Need to Know Information Before you Book** 1. This cottage is located on 100 acres, some of which you will have access to. There is a lot to explore; including a walking trail, a creek to wade in, a picnic spot with swing and ninja line and just the overall beauty of God's creation. All of this is to be enjoyed at your own pace and your own risk. 2. This land is our home, as well as home to two other households. We ask that you respect the area around these homes by staying on marked trails. There are also two other vacation rentals on the same ridge as this house. Please be respectful of their space as well. 3. There are two dogs and three cats on the property. All four are friendly and likely to show up around the cottage at some point during your stay. If they become a nuisance please do not hesitate to let us know. 4. This rural setting comes with a lot of perks and a few drawbacks. The road to the property is a small, winding country road. In the six years we have lived here, we have never been snowed in but that is a possibility during the winter months. The property is serene and quiet 90% of the time. However, potential noises include; neighbors riding their four wheelers, gunshots from other farms, and loud vehicles on the road. The beauty of our land is that all of these occur a fair distance from the cottage and is often little more than background noise. 5. One of the rooms has four single beds. This consists of two twin beds, both of which have a twin size trundle with them.

Loved the open floor plan, large kitchen island, front porch with firepit, laundry room, thoughtfulness of having everything needed for your stay (coffee, laundry detergent, shampoo, etc.) and how clean everything is. My two wishes would be for a Smart TV in bedrooms and safer/marked walking paths. We didn't know where to go at the picnic area or where the main house and/or animals were.

GREAT, but too short stay
Patrick was helpful troubleshooting a small issue for us. They even made sure the propane was one before we got there for the firepit. Thanks! Cabin is beautiful and the surroundings are amazing. My young kids were so happy to enjoy rolling down the hill and walking the train. Thank you for a great "pit-stop!" I wish we could just sit there for a couple more days.
GNO - We had an absolute ball in this gorgeous home!

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
This property is rural which means it's quiet, but within driving distance of local eateries, groceries, and activities. Some activities we drove 45 minutes for, but it was worth it and we didn't mind. We chose that. The Cabin was a clean, quiet place for our family and gave us the option to cook for ourselves. If we get to visit again, we'll definitely be staying here.

Retreat Near Ark - for Church Trip to see Ark
I could not get over how kind the owners were and how beautiful this place was. it was so nice, I honestly wish I could live there permanently. The amenities were amazing. The place was clean. The furniture was set up like a showroom. The owners were also amazing Christians. Our grandest expectations were far exceeded. Thank you for sharing this with us.
