This VRBO is absolutely one of the best I've stayed in. The hosts are amazing and very kind, the room is so cool with the smallest attention to detail making it stand out even more, and the proximity to the town made getting my morning coffee and breakfast very quick and easy! Cannot recommend highly enough!

It was a pleasure hosting Emma. She was such a sweet person and was so neat and tidy. We would love to host her again in the future.
Just a perfect location to relax and enjoy the beauty of SW VA. The suite was very clean, the refrigerator and snack area was well stocked and a variety of coffees spoke to the kindness of the owners. We loved the drive on Back of the Dragon, dined on delicious food and relaxed with nature on the deck. Inside, one is surrounded by interesting decor, a very hot sauna type shower (we found no way to take a cool or just warm shower) and a comfortable king size bed. The Farmhouse Suite at Haus of Taylor is perfect as a get away destination.

Disliked: Check-in, communication
My first Vrbo experience. I had not heard from the host since booking and it was the day of check in. I was ok with that as my plans were in flux. Around 2pm the day of check in, I messaged the host saying that I may cancel as I had not heard from them, and my evening plans may be canceled, allowing me to return home. Around 3pm, the time of check in, I received the check in information saying that the unit was not available until 4pm with no acknowledgement of my prior message. Upon leaving my final meeting at 5:30pm, I attempted to call the host and received no answer. I tried to cancel the reservation online but it was too late. I texted the host and drove 4 hours home. I received a reply to my text saying they were sorry it didn’t work out and offering a discount in the future. I’m not sure how that works and I’m eating the cost for the stay which was about two times more than the local comfort inn. It would have been easier to have booked there where I would have no issues canceling. I just thought the Vrbo process would provide better more convenient accommodations and I was willing to pay up for it. I wish it had worked out better.

Hi Edgar,
Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry your first VRBO experience did not go as expected. We understand plans can change unexpectedly, and we regret the frustration surrounding your reservation.
Your booking was canceled only a few minutes before check-in on the day of arrival. Per VRBO’s cancellation policy, we’re unable to issue refunds for last-minute cancellations once the reservation is within the non-refundable check-in window.
That said, we did try to offer a solution by inviting you to contact us the next time you’re in the area so we could honor the unused night toward a future stay. We also encouraged you to submit a refund request directly through VRBO in case they were able to assist further from their side.
We apologize for the delay in communication earlier in the day. Our check-in details were sent at the standard check-in time, and we’re sorry we missed the opportunity to connect with you before your plans changed.
We truly appreciate you giving our property a try and wish things had worked out differently. We hope you’ll consider staying with us in the future so we can provide you with the experience you originally expected.
The Farmhouse isn't just a rental, it's an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the incredible details and thoughtful touches. The craftsmanship throughout the house is truly awe-inspiring, and it's clear no detail was overlooked.
Nestled in the charming town of Tazewell, the Farmhouse offers the perfect blend of relaxation and exploration. Hidden gems and local flavor are all within walking distance, while breathtaking views just a short stroll away will leave you speechless.
The owners have truly thought of everything! The house was stocked with a delightful variety of snacks and drinks, making it feel like a home away from home – complete with an espresso machine for that perfect morning jolt. We especially enjoyed indulging in the luxurious shower, the whimsical dragon-headed faucet, and the romantic open flame fireplace. They've even gone above and beyond by providing all the essentials you might forget, from cocktail shakers to q-tips. It's these little touches that elevate the experience.
The house boasts some smart features, and while we had fun figuring most out, the owners were incredibly helpful and responsive to our questions. Their quick and friendly communication just added to the overall exceptional experience.
We can't recommend the Farmhouse highly enough. It's the perfect place to unwind, create unforgettable memories, and we're already looking forward to our next stay!
