I did love the space inside of this house, spacious living room & kitchen. Unfortunately, there are a lot of other issues going on I did not enjoy- My passes were not ready at the front desk so I had to wait on that, the dishwasher still had dirty dishes in it, the house throughout the day stayed higher than 78 degrees. It never cooled down until after 8pm and it still was not cool enough for me. Linens/towels were not advertised as being an extra fee so I assumed they were provided- no- we did not have any. Typically, there is a complimentary “start” package with 1-2 rolls of toilet paper- there was none. The couch was very old and flakes of fake leather came off when you sat. There was a jacuzzi that would have been a nice addition, it wasn’t advertised but it was sitting on the porch and was not working and green. No television in one bedroom, and the others were all out of date so we couldn’t watch our own apps etc(Netflix etc)- this would have been nice. The porch had black spots that didn’t seem to have ever been pressure washed etc and multiple boards bowed and sticking up. The area where the trash cans were was very dirty- didn’t seem to be cleaned prior to our arrival. The mattress in one bedroom had bad stains and looked extremely bad. Several smaller issues and you can clearly tell this house is not maintained.

We just wrapped up a 4 night stay at this property. On arrival the house was not appropriately cleaned. Microwave was filthy, dirty pan was still in the oven. Bathrooms still had hair and dirt around from previous guests. Couches are literally torn with plastic leather falling off of them. Porch was covered with leaves from the fall. Dust everywhere. It wasn’t mentioned in the listing that we needed to bring our own linens for the beds and provide our own propane. Went out and bought propane and the gas grill wasn’t even working! TVs are ancient throughout the home, we never even turned them on. The walls in one of the bedrooms had dirty handprints all along the wall beside the bed. I will say, the host was very responsive in communication and may not be aware of the housekeeping’s lack of effort. He was made aware so hopefully the next guest will have a better stay. This was by far one of our most disappointing rentals in Ocean Lakes, but nevertheless we made the best of it!

Upon check-in, we discovered that our reservation was not in the system at all. The staff had to contact the host to verify our booking, and their records actually showed a different guest assigned to the property. I had to call the host directly, who then contacted the check-in desk to have our reservation added to the system.The host also mentioned that he was unsure whether the house had been cleaned prior to our arrival and stated that he would address it if necessary. Unfortunately, the property had not been cleaned. I notified him immediately, and he advised that it would be Saturday—or possibly even Sunday—before cleaning could be completed. We attempted to contact the host again but received no response.As a result, we had to purchase cleaning supplies from Walmart and clean the house ourselves on our first night. I contacted VRBO regarding the situation, and they refunded both the cleaning fee and the cost of our first night's stay.Additionally, we had to purchase our own linens and towels. I understand that this information may have been disclosed in the listing, and I may have overlooked it, so I take responsibility for that misunderstanding.The Wi-Fi was also nonfunctional for the first four days of our stay, and overall communication from the host was very poor throughout the rental period.We have been vacationing at Ocean Lakes for many years, and unfortunately, this was the worst rental experience we have encountered. The ice maker did work well.

the home looks like it is not taken care of at all. the host was not very communicative at all. the wifi did not work. the AC barely worked during the day, it would get very hot in the house. soon as we got to the house and pulled back the comforter we found two baby spiders in one bed. and another baby one in the other bed. will not be staying at this house in the future.
