We enjoyed our stay at the Bigfoot cabin. Two families and a dog and everyone had a bed! It was very much a cabin feel and had separate spaces so it was never noisy! Loved the deck and the location was good.
This was a great place for a large family or group with kids. The kids loved the woods behind the cabin and Twain Harte was a cute town, and just a 2 min drive. We enjoyed the large deck and outdoor seating, and the couches in the living room were really comfortable. Kids liked having their own downstairs hang out space. Also loved that there are a ton of games!Renters who are not familiar with old cabins should know this has a true “cabin in the woods” vibe: expect to see dust and spiders. The kitchen had a nice oven, but was a very small space, not really conducive to cooking. The house is also quite dark, with not a lot of natural light. Other thing that was hard is the downstairs/basement bedrooms have very low ceilings (maybe 6 feet?) and you can hear all the footsteps above pretty loudly. Only the basement bedrooms are en suite. My husband loved it because it brought a lot of nostalgia, and the kids are already asking to go back!
