This was a great apartment in a family friendly neighborhood. There were nice touches like coffee, filters, etc and kleenex. The drive into the city was not bad and there were shops and restaurants in the Irving Park area as well. Would recommend this place! Joan provided excellent communication.

Great find for a weekend stay with friends! The beds were comfortable and the space was clean. Suited our needs and was a reasonable price compared to other homes and hotels we were looking at. The bathroom is located through one of the rooms so they placed a privacy curtain next to the bed which was a nice thought. They also had an extra fan, plenty of towels and provided us with water and soda. The street felt safe and quiet. Felt comfortable parking my car there with plenty of spots right in front. Will definitely keep this place in mind for future trips!

Cozy little spot

We loved this spot. Very charming and intimate. It was very clean, the beds were comfortable, the neighborhood is pretty quiet. We will definitely like to visit this location again!

Could not have asked for a better place to call home for a long weekend! Joan thoughtfully labeled the cabinets so we didn’t have to fumble through everything to find plates or forks. The location was perfect, everything we wanted to see was either a 15-20 minute drive or 15-20 Uber. Finding street parking wasn’t an issue. It got a little warm on occasion but there were fans provided so it never got stuffy. All in all it was wonderful!

I thought this booking was too good to be true, with the quiet neighborhood and absolutely stunning accommodations, but the host Joan really has curated such a wonderful space for her guests and I was truly blown away by the space. It was such a serene retreat after a day of sightseeing in the city! Everything looked exactly as pictured, the space was comfortable, and Joan was more than accommodating. 10/10, would absolutely stay again!

The pictures of the VRBO are as accurate as the property itself. Clean, well organized and a great location. Joan was very helpful and offered any assistance if it was ever needed. Close to multiple modes of public transportation, food establishments and tons of free street parking if driving a car. I will/would highly recommend staying here anytime visiting Chicago. Pros - Location perfect, quiet neighborhood, easy street parking, nearby groceries and restaurants, and near the river walk. Home has basic necessities, comfy beds, hot water and good water pressure for showering, window air conditioner worked well for our summer stay. Host was excellent and responsive. Cons but not Deal Breakers- Garden apartments can hear neighbors above but not bothersome. Low ceilings may be a factor for taller people. Pipes on the ceiling do get hot and heat up the room a bit and hot to the touch. Main living space floors were a bit dirty..socks were soiled after a few hours so I wiped the floors, easy fix for host. No dishwasher or laundry but not a factor for our week stay.
