Good News and Bad News

First the good news: this half of a duplex was clean and well-stocked, as in plenty of towels & paper goods, etc. It was nicely furnished, the beds were comfortable. Despite being half of a duplex, it was quiet. Bad news: We arrived after dark, and there was no porch light on, and no house numbers visible on the property. We had to drive up and down the street a few times to find it. Also, we parked beside the property on the driveway, thinking that was where we were to park. The next morning we had a nasty note from, I guess, a neighbor, telling us to park in the back. The host/property owner told us nothing about where to park, and the driveway seemed logical. Not a nice welcome! Inside, there was NO information about WiFi password posted anywhere. And in order to contact the host to ask the password, we had to go through VRBO website, requiring, yep, internet!! Finally we found the password by turning the router upside down and trying all the numbers printed there. NOT user-friendly! Lastly the bathroom off the front bedroom was shabby. It was clean, but there were sloppy paint drips everywhere, a hole around the shower head pipe, places where the paint was scuffed off, and the woodwork around the shower insert was very poorly done. Over all, it was a disappointing experience for $220 per night! Next time, we’ll stay in a hotel!

The WiFi password is posted in the living room and you could have texted me through the site with cellular service. It’s parking spaces in the back so it should be obvious that that’s were you park. Thank You for your stay. You never texted me one time, so how was I to know. Leaving a porch light on all day and night is unacceptable. If you would have let me know you were coming later I would have had the late one for you. Communication goes a long way! Let’s not talk about your cleanliness…. Thank You for booking with me. A hotel would have been much more expensive. I’m not responsible for the fees that VRBO charges.
