During the recent rain, there was just a little bit of water that came under the door—nothing close to flooding—and we took care of it immediately. While we understand that the flash flooding in the area was concerning, the house itself remained safe and functional. Regarding the mosquitoes, we agree this can be a challenge in Austin during the summer, especially after rain. We are actively working on improving yard maintenance and mosquito prevention to reduce this issue for future guests. You also mentioned the absence of a washer and dryer. We want to highlight that our listing clearly states that we do not provide a washer or dryer, so that guests can plan accordingly before booking. As for your early departure, we respect your decision to leave, but it’s important to note that you initially informed us you had insurance to cover such changes. Once it became clear your insurance wouldn’t reimburse you, you asked us for a refund. Since the house remained available for your full reservation, and your departure was voluntary, we were unable to offer a refund. Again, thank you for your feedback.
