Newly renovated 4 Bedroom, 2 1/2 bathroom home on the Rapid River. Tucked in a tranquil and relaxing location where you'll feel like you're away from everything. The no-wake boat ride along the river to the Torch Lake Sandbar takes less than 10 minutes, or you can walk a half mile to the public beach entrance. There is a brand new dock going out to the central part of the river for boats with outboards up to 25'. The river is a very fine silted bottom, so swimming isn't recommended.

Approx. 15-minute drive away from Lake Michigan, Elk Rapids, Bellaire, Turtle Creek Casino, Schuss Mountain, Kalkaska, a lot of excellent golf courses, and more...

Traverse City is about a 35-minute drive, and Charlevoix is about 45 minutes.

Fabulous house with everything you could possibly need. Patrick was awesome and easy to communicate with, the place couldn’t have been in a better spot to explore on & off our boats. We had an amazing week & look forward to visiting again!!

This was a great place to stay. The owner was incredible - communicative, responsive, had the home super prepared for us, and very friendly and welcoming. The home is beautiful - recently remodeled and in a great area. All in all, a wonderful experience.

We had a great time on our recent trip and this house blew away my expectations. This house is literally stocked with everything you can possibly want/need. Mandy is also very responsive and answers any questions you may have. Definitely recommend staying her as i hope to return.

We only stayed one day but we wish we had stayed longer. It was a beautiful home, clean and spacious. Pantry was fully stocked and everything you might need was indeed available. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to everyone. We even got to see a family of deers in the backyard. It was amazing!!

Seriously the nicest place I have ever rented.

Clean, updated, fresh and welcoming. Kitchen stocked very well, as were all the bathrooms. Mandy responded promptly to all inquiries and made sure our stay was perfect in every way. Our group of eight had a wonderful time. From watching wildlife from the dock on the river with morning coffee to drinks around fire pit in the evening. We loved our stay in this lovely peaceful home!

Fabulous House and Owner

The owner's communication was excellent and he went above and beyond to make sure our stay was stress free. The large living room was fantastic to socialize and hang out as a family. Having a dock is what sold us on the property and it didn't disappoint. We spent most of our time on the water and the easy access to Torch Lake was awesome. The location was great too. After four years of different VRBO homes, we have finally found a home we want to continue to come back to for our yearly family vacation.

Home away from home

This was a beautiful property that reminded us of home. Set in the woods, surrounded by wildlife and quite tranquil. This house despite having a dock was not suitable for our 27 ft speed boat but that was ok as the marina was only a 5 min drive away. This property would be perfect for anyone who has a fishing boat or pontoon so that they can access the Torch River with ease. We will definitely be back!!!

Great Rental!

We really enjoyed our time in Rapid River. The convenience of having our boat at the house with easy access to Torch Lake was awesome. Mandy was great with her help on where to launch our boat and storing our trailer on the property was appreciated. The rental was amazingly clean and well stocked. All the reviews said this but I’m picky and I was impressed! We cooked meals almost daily and found absolutely everything we needed! We fit 2 adults and 4 teenagers in the house easily and everyone had their space. Plenty of room for yard games outside and my husband loved the grilling options of both charcoal and gas. What a great week - we are already talking about next year!

Perfect house for an adult getaway or kid friendly vacation

All I can say is WOW! From the beginning Mandy was very attentive to all my questions. She stayed in contact with us through the stay when we had any questions. The house was AMAZING! It was the cleanest house I have ever stayed in (that’s saying a lot since my husband is OCD and keeps our house extra clean haha). The house comes with every cooking utensil, gadget and pan you could ever think of. The beds are so comfortable and will comfortably house 9 grown adults (4 couples and 1 single). There is a large family room that sits all the guest without feeling cramped. The outside is like a wooded retreat. A portion of the yard is fenced in and then there is a large wooded areas for bon fires. The dock is on the property but is about a 2 minute walk from the house. It has a beautiful floating porch you can sit on and watch the sun set. The dock was able to hold two jet boats without a problem. Overall, our 4 night stay was better than we ever expected. We will be returning next summer!

Wonderful!!

Our extended family of 7 were thrilled to return to this fabulous rental. The home is immaculate upon arrival. We have never wanted for any item, it has everything one could possibly need. The deck is spacious with plenty of seating. We especially like the layout of the home as it’s large enough to spread out. Hopefully we will be able to return again and again. It’s location is quiet and peaceful. Fun activities are minutes away.

Serene setting

The location of this property was so nice! A quiet location with lots of wildlife but still a short boat ride over to Torch Lake. All the amenities that you could possibly need in a vacation property, we wanted for nothing here as the home is fully stocked and then some! Will definitely visit again!

Amazing

Perfect home for our group of two families that stayed a week to enjoy Torch Lake. The home was well stocked, especially the kitchen where we cooked over half our meals at the home. Which was a great surprise because normally most rentals are limited on their kitchen supplies, but this home had everything you could think of to cook a homemade meal. Located on the river with just a short boat ride over to Torch made it nice and quiet to relax and even had deer passing through the yard almost every day. Highly recommend!

This is definitely an outstanding place to stay! The owner made our stay feel like home away from home! Very welcoming and easy to communicate with! Beautiful and peaceful. Loved watching the wild life in the river. Pontoons great to dock, our inboard outboard could not get in but there is a ramp 5 minutes away. Overall fantastic house and the owners are very easy to work with!
