About the host
Hosted by Joan
Our family of five from Tampa has been vacationing in the area for over twenty years. We can’t get enough of Palm Island. We enjoy boating, fishing, swimming and shelling on this beautiful island.
We also host a property in Madeira Beach, Florida. https://www.vrbo.com/310676ha

Why they chose this property
Palm Island offers a rare sense of peace and privacy that’s hard to find anywhere else. Accessible only by a short ferry ride, the island remains quiet, uncrowded, and free of high-rises. Even within Palm Island, this location is especially secluded—set on a peaceful dead-end street with fewer homes and no through traffic. Surrounded by water, mangroves, and natural habitat, it’s common to see dolphins, manatees, osprey, pelicans, and other coastal wildlife right from the property or while exploring the island. The calm setting and low traffic make it especially appealing for families, with space for kids to explore, bike, and enjoy the outdoors. Life here moves at a slower pace, with pristine beaches, world-class fishing, and easy access to nearby marinas and restaurants by boat. Golf carts and bikes are the preferred way to get around, adding to the relaxed, old-Florida feel. Palm Island delivers the perfect balance of natural beauty, simplicity, and seclusion.
What makes this property unique

Exceptional on-property amenities make it easy to enjoy island life without leaving—launch kayaks or paddle boards from the private ramp, fish from the 300-foot dock, relax in the pool and heated spa, gather around the fire pit, or watch dolphins and manatees pass by. With direct water access and easy beach proximity, this property delivers a true waterfront island experience.
