Oak Haven Lakeside Cottages is a perfect "anytime" lakeside getaway for couples, families, friends, fishermen, or anyone who loves the peaceful sights and sounds of nature. ***No work crews allowed. ***No parties or events allowed. We are located in Gary, Texas on a quiet cove on beautiful Lake Murvaul. This cozy and tranquil setting is the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature and lake activities such as fishing, swimming, boating, bird watching, grilling, gathering around a campfire, canoeing, and making memories!
Our 800 sf Cottage is fully equipped with all of the necessities of home. The Cottage sleeps 8 (6 adult max please) - a queen bed, 2 twin beds, 2 futon sofas that fold to full sized beds. The Cottage has an open deck with charcoal grill and a screened shelter where you can relax in a rocking chair and soak in the gorgeous view of the lake. Enjoy our large yard with fire ring, private pier, and our fish cleaning table.
***We are PET FRIENDLY to well-behaved pets. 3 pet maximum. Housebroken dogs and declawed cats are welcome. Please be sure to add your pet to your reservation request.
NO SMOKING allowed in Cottage, but is allowed on the deck and screened shelter. Our fully equipped kitchen has a full sized refrigerator with icemaker, microwave, stove/oven, toaster, coffee maker, pots/pans, utensils, dinnerware - everything you will need - Just bring your food and drinks! Our cozy Cottage has 2 flat screened TVs, DVD player, DVD library, an electric fireplace, central AC/Heat, ceiling fans. You may never want to leave!

This property offered everything and more. The host is very responsive to all communications and requests. The property offers peace and relaxation. Really enjoyed kayaking and sitting on the pier, watching the squirrels run around and listening to the birds chirping. I highly recommend this property. We totally enjoyed our stay!

Absolutely loved. Perfect for a quiet getaway. Cottage had everything we needed. Great outdoor sitting area with fishing dock. Swimming is not for the squeamish but we still enjoyed the kayaks. Hosts were wonderful, accommodating and we never saw them.

Whether you want to relax or join in the fun, Oak Haven has so much to offer. Spend time relaxing by the lake with a book or a fishing pole. Gather around a campfire, enjoy bird watching, gather on the deck for a cook-out, relax in our rocking chairs in our screened shelter. Swim from the pier or go tubing on the lake. Enjoy boating or canoeing around the lake. Play ball, horseshoes, or croquet in the yard or sit back and watch movies in our relaxing cottage. Bring your binoculars and enjoy nature watching - don't be surprised to see ducks, squirrels, many species of birds, raccoon, turtles, frogs, lizards, egrets, herons, hummingbirds, gulls, and occasional pelicans.

We are currently offering our 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath 800 sf Cottage that sleeps 8 (6 adults max please). This Cottage offers a queen bed, 2 twin beds, and 2 futon sofas that fold out into 2 full-size beds. Linens are provided. This Cottage comes with a fully equipped kitchen, including all dinnerware, cooking utensils, pots/pans, full sized fridge with ice maker, coffee maker, microwave, stove, toaster, and dishtowels, etc. Just bring your food and drink! The bathroom features a walk-in shower. Towels, washcloths, and hand towels are provided. The cozy Cottage includes 2 flat screen TVs, DVD player with DVD library, games, electric fireplace, ceiling fans, central air/heat, 2 recliners, and a dining table that seats 6 guests.
