The space:

Pet cleaning fee is $30 per pet per stay (2 pets max). Please ensure that your pet is friendly and well trained around other humans or other pets to ensure a safe and enjoyable stay for all. Thank you.

PLEASE READ BELOW TO MAKE SURE WE'RE A PERFECT VACATION FIT FOR YOU:
Commons Area Lounge is centrally located between all 5 of our cabins and has WIFI, AC Power, Full Kitchen, dry food storage, dining/lounging spaces, local info, extra blankets/games/books. BBQ is around the corner and is also shared among all the guests.
The bathroom requires a short, slightly steep 1-minute walk to an enclosed outdoor bathroom.
Solar shower facility is available and depends largely on the weather conditions. It is outdoors, which means that THE SHOWER HEATS UP FROM THE SUN. You must be flexible as the sunshine and the weather dictate your ability to take a hot shower (we understand that it's not for everyone, but it's one of the minor concessions that we endure while getting to live here.)
Being in the mountains, we share the space with beautiful wild animals such as deer, elk, and bear. Bugs, flies and the occasional mouse might drop by to say hello too. We do our absolute best to make sure you won't see them. However, If even the prospect of the sight or sound of the occasional bug or mouse puts a burr under your saddle, we kindly suggest that you book a chain hotel in the big city of Missoula.
Basically, this isn't your standard Holiday Inn chain hotel experience, in this space and on this property you'll be reminded of the simplicity of life, the stillness of nature and the pureness of your routine being dictated by the sun.
If you're a nature lover who is looking to ditch the city and get away into the woods for a while, while stargazing, hiking, and frolicking through the woods with your pup, we can't wait to host you at The Hohnstead Glamping Cabins Resort in Bonner, Montana.
Guest access:
Commons Area Lounge with WIFI, AC Power, Full Kitchen, Refrigerator with your own shelf, dry food storage, dining/seating/lounging spaces. It is also pet-friendly.
Shared hot tub is a 2-seater unit that is available on a daily sign-up board in 1-hour increments. If there are no other guests signed up, feel free to use it until you turn into a prune!
100 Acres of exploring and hiking

Shared propane campfire area.
Other things to note:
* $30 PER PET cleaning fee / entire stay (2 dogs max please)
* Your dog is your responsibility. Staying at a pet-friendly place, we hope that your dog is well trained and well behaved to interact with other guests, dogs as well as the hosts.
* While you're able to prepare coffee and tea on the included propane kitchen stove in your cabin, there is a strict NO OUTDOOR FIRE Policy on this property. Montana is always just a single spark away from forest fires, reduced air quality and ashy ruins. Please help us avoid that.
* The Hohnstead is 420 friendly
Your friendly hosts, Alla and Garrett

About the host
Hosted by Alla Ponomareva and Garrett Hohn
We're Garrett and Alla Hohn and we're excited to host you at the Hohnstead, our self-built piece of Montana haven. All 5 of our cabins are self built, unique and off-the-grid, helping you to reconnect to Nature and to each other. We love working out, traveling abroad, brewing (beer for Garrett, Kombucha for Alla), gardening, and anything that supports an eco-friendly, simple living lifestyle. If this is your vibe, we wanna be friends :)
What makes this property unique
We went from bare land in 2010 to working on it 2 months at a time (on our vacations from our jobs abroad). In 2022, we were finally able to quit our jobs, and made The Hohnstead Glamping Cabins Resort our full time seasonal job. Proudest part - we only paid out for a concrete slab in the Commons Area, but everything else on this property was built with our own two hands.
