About this property

Allow this destination to be your EXHALE

Come in and let this destination be your EXHALE. Let the sounds of the bubbling creek and ducks be your INHALE. Living Stone Lodge and Retreat is not a place to just stay, it is a place to BE.

When you drive into the property and step inside the lodge, you will leave the distractions of the world behind and have no doubt that you feel as if you have stepped back in time into a classic northwoods lodge but with all the luxurious comforts you would want.

Choose one of our 6 comfortable queen beds within 5 bedrooms. When the windows are open, each bedroom is privy to the sounds of the creek and nature. Sleep deeply, comfortably, and late if you choose. Or wake up early to a beautiful sunrise right in front of you over the lake.

What do you like to start your day out with to drink? Our lavish coffee bar offers regular and decaf coffee, several teas to choose from and hot chocolate.

With several wonderful places to sit and many glorious opportunities for the day, the only difficulty you will find at the lodge is choosing which of the many ways you can relax for the day.

Half the lodge is surrounded by a creek that the kids can get in and play around in hunting for frogs or arrowheads while you sit by one of 4 firepits and watch! Better yet, get in there with them! Or cross the creek by walking over the quaint walking bridge to do a bit of exploring on the other side.

Out front is Marsh Miller Lake which is a 441 acre fishing lake that is well known in these parts to be one of the best fishing lakes around for bass, northern, and panfish both in summer and winter for ice fishing. Fish off one of our two docks, take out one of our two kayaks, or bring your own boat and launch at a public site for $2 just down the road.

Do you prefer more of an inside day? There are plenty of comfortable places to relax and enjoy the comforts of the lodge. The lakeside bedroom hosts a comfy couch, a glider rocker and ottoman, and great windows to enjoy. Take in the sunrise and enjoy the view of the lake in the lakeside living room or play board games (not video games!) at the table together! The fireside living room has a wonderful leather sectional that has a reclining chaise lounge and 2 recliners in addition to other welcoming seating in the room set up perfectly for visiting, reading, or studying . There is also a 48” TV in that room for streaming if movie watching is your thing and there are several comfy throw blankets to snuggle up in!

Take a step down the spiral staircase to the game room to shoot a game of pool, or challenge someone to a game of ping pong or foosball!

If cooking is your thing, you will find what you need to make your family and friends a wonderful meal. Or just bring pre-made food along to fill up the full size refrigerator, freezer and cupboards! Comfortably seat about 12 adults around this beautiful dining room table to break bread together.

Living Stone Lodge is situated just a few minutes from the Chippewa County Forest, ATV / Snowmobile trails, Cedar Bay Resort, Birch Point Resort, or Rock Lake Bar and Grill for great eats.
