Rested and Refreshed!
Was looking for a place for some solitude, rest and healing and this was the perfect place! Just far enough away from the pace and noise of more populated Scottsdale yet stores, restaurants, etc. are close enough. Jerome and Linda, the owners are so attentive and respectful which just added to this great experience!

We have truly been Blessed with our guests- all have been wonderful reflections of people with whom we would want to share our guest home, property and, when requested, our time - and our guest who submitted this testimonial was so perfectly "that!"

Desert Gem
Everything about the studio in Scottsdale was PERFECT! Jerome went above and beyond to make my husband and I and our 2 dogs comfortable. It was very clean and the land is beautiful. My dogs loved going on long walks and seeing all the horses. Jerome treated us like family. I would definitely recommend this place if you are visiting Scottsdale. We will definitely be back!

Vacation rentals - requires 'courage" on both sides - owner and renter. From the owner's perspective "who will be in our (guest) home?" - We have been incredibly fortunate, Blessed, whatever label you attach, by our guests. Friendships have been created with guests from within and without the U.S. So too with our new friends who wrote this "testimonial" - and their two dogs (one of which is actually blind).
It is so interesting the peace, healing and balancing the Sonoran Desert brings to us and our guests. There are very few coincidences in life- and those who "find" and visit our 2 1/2 acres of Sonoran Desert always recognize this.
More interesting in that we are but 10 minutes from "that other world" - the top golf courses, restaurants, entertainment and the like. As one guest coined it "The best of both worlds; and I can leave the louder, more active one and be in my peaceful desert home in within minutes." How fortunate we are. Jerome

Just as advertised "Peace & Tranquility" describes my stay at the property.
I stayed in this property for approximately 5 weeks beginning the first week in February. It was everything advertised with many other intangibles thrown in. The owners Jerome and Linda are wonderful people who were very responsive to my needs and went above my expectations in making me feel welcome on their beautiful property. The new veranda was private and sun soaked. The efficient kitchen met my needs and the dedicated gas grill was an added bonus. The neighbor is quiet and full of trails.

Craig was a wonderful guest - and was open to our sharing time hiking and chatting. While we hold our guest's privacy as sacred, we also live on our 2 1/2 acres of Sonoran Desert and when guests are open for chatting or even hiking the area, we look forward to it. Craig also had nearby friends to "restaurant" and visit with, and still managed to use our full kitchen (4 burner stove and an oven, large refrigerator, numerous appliances such as the microwave, blender and others, full service for 4 if he invite guests for dinner or "wine on the veranda", etc.) Craig is a perfect example of how Linda and I have truly been Blessed with the quality of the guests who have been attracted to "visit" with us, and the friendships we have made with many with whom we stay in touch". CUTE LITTLE STUDIO IN A GREAT LOCATION!
We booked the studio on the property to come into town for a quick weekend to celebrate a birthday. The location is easy to find and within a short drive to everything. The property itself is incredible and the owners love of it is in every detail, from the outdoor lighting along the pathway to the trees, cactus and plants. The studio is small but adorable. The kitchenette serves its purpose, providing a place to warm up a quick bite in the stove or microwave. The only problem that we had was the bathroom in this particular unit is very small, it is difficult for a larger person to squeeze in for the toilet or shower, but if you are a smaller person you will be just fine. When we emailed to book the property, I had mentioned that my wife and I (and our two doggies) were coming in on a last minute trip for 50th birthdays (mine included), we arrived to a birthday card and flowers inside the studio. Jerome and Linda also filled the fridge with eggs, butter, water, juice, coffee and fresh fruit! They knew we were arriving late at night and they wanted us to be able to come in and have what we needed. We've rented several properties through VRBO and this is outstanding service and sets them apart from any other owners we've rented from. Such a treat! We enjoyed the birds outside both mornings we were there, and even a coyote once! We will absolutely be coming back (for the Casita next time!). Thank you again for a great little place, on a last minute booking, for being so gracious and hospitable to us, and welcoming our puppies. We enjoyed it very much, only wish we'd had more time to spend enjoying the property.

We continue to recognize how fortunate we are to have special people come to "visit" as our guests in The Studio, on our 2 1/2 acres of amazingly beautiful Sonoran Desert. John and Amanda essentially "booked' as they were driving down from Colorado. They and their 2 dogs were among those "special" people.
They arrived "very late at night" and, unfortunately, unexpectedly had to head back to Colorado after only 2 days and nights of birthday celebrations with a group of friends who lived nearby.
On this trip they did not have any time to explore the wonderful variety of fine restaurants within 10 minutes of the "desert home" (American, Japanese, Chinese, East Indian, Italian, Brazilian, Mexican and others); or the food shopping also within 10 minutes (wonderful food stores such as Safeway, AJ Fine Foods, Sprouts; or Whole Foods 5 minutes farther.
If they had time they could easily have "cooked full-dinners" and other meals "at home" in The Studio's Fully Equipped Electric Kitchen (4 burner stove and oven, large chrome faced refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, juicer, blender, and more) or also BBQ'ed on our outside 5 burner propane BBQ grill alongside our "brand-new" large covered Veranda. The Studio is equipped to serve at least 4 people (inside The Studio or outside on the Veranda watching glorious sunsets..."White or red wine with dinner?" Jerome and Linda
This was the most serene and peaceful place I’ve ever stayed in. Close to everything yet you feel as if you are way out in the country. Hosts were on the property and are kind and welcoming. The studio was well supplied and quite comfortable. Hope to stay here again! A special place.
This is a quiet and relaxing little nest with a generous outdoor area to enjoy sunny days and gorgeous sunsets. The owners are quick to respond and helpful whenever needed.
The studio was the perfect 2 month desert getaway for my dogs and I! Perfect kitchen, lots of windows, and a patio that looks towards the sunset! Jerome and Linda are amazing amazing host. They really gave us lots of space but attended to our every need. They are the loveliest of humans. Not only did I get a desert healing getaway but walked away with new friends/family. Thank you Jermone, Linda, Satchie and Emmy. Big hugs!

We feel the same about Rebecca, Willie and Henry and Todd - the best of times and (no offense to our other wonderful guests), the loveliest of guests... we look forward to a continuing friendship.
Our testimonial shows they are "FIVE STAR" Guests (only I blew-it by not seeing the 'COMMUNICATION BUTTON - which was also FIVE STAR. (yet apparently once submitted, the VBRBO system did not let me "go back" to mark that category 5-star.).
Loved this Studio. Felt so comfortable at this location. Beautiful atmosphere. Up close with nature. Jerome and Linda went above and beyond as host and hostess. We hope to return next year.

A wonderful month in the desert
What a treat to be nestled in such a beautiful area. And Jerome and Linda are the perfect hosts; we consider them friends.
There are numerous walking and hiking trails in the area along with stables. Plus a large selection of books for your reading pleasure.
The Studio is exactly that; a studio. Small and efficient. But the two of us and our dog never felt confined.

A little piece of heaven!
What a delightful place to stay! Imagine waking up to birds chirping and bunnies hopping while the sunrise offers a beautiful palate of colors enhanced by saguaros and desert plants. Or, ending a fun filled day on a covered veranda, sipping wine while enjoying the sunset on a large covered veranda. A wonderful find in North Scottsdale that offers all that we have come to love in the desert. The studio is fully furnished with all the necessities and provides a relaxing place to stay. It is situated close enough to restaurants, shopping, attractions etc. but far enough away to feel that the area remains untouched by the noise and congestion of modern life. So, choose to relax and read one of the many books provided or venture off and explore the area. Best of all were the gracious hosts - Jerome and Linda - who live on the large property. Great ambassadors for the Southwest living experience!

As expressed in Sue's Testimonial, she (and her beloved George) experienced their "vacation visit" as truly magical. The special-ness of our guests always give Linda and I had another opportunity to share our glorious piece of this planet. With each guest who speaks about their visit in a similar manner, we are enlivened and through their sharing and we again more fully appreciate that, and those, for which we have been permitted to serve as "caretakers".
Linda and I live on the northern side of our property so we are not "absentee landlords" and yet always respect our guests opportunity for peace and quiet. We also truly enjoy when the opportunity arises to "visit", chat, hike and explore the desert together.
Our property is just ten minutes away from a wonderful variety of restaurants (cuisine as diverse as Japanese, Chinese, American, East Indian, Brazilian and others.) The same nearby presence of food markets such as Safeway, A.J. and Sprouts (Whole Foods an extra 5 minutes) let our guests "dine at home" using our "full-kitchen" (4 burner stove and oven, large refrigerator, numerous appliances and full "set-up" as "dining for 4". We recently had a professional chef as a guest; he loved "dining-in" and sitting on the veranda watching the glorious sunsets.
The excellent hiking and cycling opportunities are available when one wants to balance the food-intake. We are so Blessed; and so are our Guests. Jerome and Linda

Nice people, great location and a clean modern facility.
The studio is cozy, yet provides everything a single or a couple would expect in a modern home. The location in North Scottsdale is quiet and convenient to major routes, restaurants and attractions like Barrett Jackson, The Arabian Horse Show, and Cycling events. Jerome and Linda know the area and are willing to assist in making your stay comfortable and rewarding. Beautiful, quiet surroundings make this is a good choice for your Phoenix stay.

Paradise
We have been fortune to stay in the Scottsdale area for the past 10 years. I can honestly say that this little piece of heaven offered the most peaceful, tranquil and best place to "decompress" yet!
From the moment we arrived until the time we left, we were in a completely different frame of mind. Refreshed and balanced!!
The owners are amazing and we left with 2 more friends than we came with!
We highly recommend staying here and can't wait to return!

About the host
Hosted by Jerome and Linda - property owners ( TPT 21213002)
Jerome and Linda are your caring host and hostess. We personally designed our custom home on the north side of our 2 1/2 acres; and The Studio and The Casita - are nearby on the south side, yet far enough to maintain privacy. We are not "absentee owners" who leave you to fend for yourselves. While we respect our guest's space, we are also available for advice and assistance. This is not a walled[-in community where houses are often on-top-of each other, nor a condominium or apartment house. This is 2 1/2 acres of our Sonoran Desert. All properties within miles are either 2 1/2 or 5+ acre properties - so "privacy" .
We designed and oversaw construction of our home and The Casita and the Studio.
Linda is a retired educator (reading specialist), "critical thinking" tutor, and professional interior designer.
Jerome is a professional mediator, arbitrator and attorney; a twice invited Presenter at the United Nations, who has taught other professionals and business persons programs in meditation, arbitration, and the energy "arts"( such as meditation, yoga and Aikido.) Jerome is also a licensed Real Estate Agent operating through Keller Williams Realty.
Linda is a retired educator - 25 years a reading and "critical thinking" specialist.
Why they chose this property
Because "it is so very "Special"! Your vacation Studio is a private, lovely clean home - with a peaceful and "healing" natural presence inside and outside. Guests have included families preparing for, or recovering from medical procedures at May Clinic and other nearby hospitals and medical clinics.
The Studio rests in the Sonoran Desert and yet is within 10-15 minutes of numerous restaurant (ethnic and American cuisine), food shopping (Safeway, AJ.., Sprouts and Whole foods) shopping, multiple world famous golf courses (Troon 1 and 2, Legend Trails, etc.) and resorts, etc.
As owners, we take great pride in our property. We are NOT absentee owners who leave their tenants or a management company to "take-care-of-it-all!
Our own home is also located on our 2 1/2 acres - close enough for assistance, guidance, conversation and yet "separate" to maintain privacy.
The "Why This Property" relates to the total property and experience, the area and your hosts - The Studio and The Casita, our two rentals, have received numerous excellent review of which we are proud. Excerpts of those testimonials are set forth in the "Reviews" section of The Studio site (upper left "blue" section.")
What makes this property unique
Our guests have visited for a variety of reasons. These include "much needed" rest and recreation, playing on world famous golf courses, attending Cactus League baseball, for medical treatments and recovery (we are within short distance from Mayo and other renowned U.S. hospitals and physicians), the Musical Instrument Museum, horseback riding, cycling and hiking trails, world famous horse shows and all the cultural events of the Scottsdale-Phoenix Metro Area. Barrett-Jackson; Phoenix Open; Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show; Cactus League Spring Training and many more. We are close to all of these.
For hiking, walking and cycling: There are wonderful trails "right across the street from our property. Also, checkout McDowell Sonoran Conservancy and it numerous areas - from 10 - 20 minutes among the best areas in Arizona. We are close to all of these also.
Artists, photographers, naturalists have guested with us because of the intimacy with the Sonoran Desert. Mountain bikers, hikers, climbers, and horse enthusiasts have also guested with us "to be close to it all!"
We prefer to schedule our guests for a "full-month" or a "full-week" or combination thereof.
We do not begin to schedule our winter guests (December through September of the following year) until September of the present year.
