Really great place to stay in Trout River. Great water pressure, lots of hot water, mattresses were comfortable, well stocked kitchen and very impressed with how clean it was when we arrived. It's about an 8-minute walk down to the ocean and the seaside restaurant.

Comfortable stay

Marty and Keala's home was comfortable and had everything we needed for a one night stay. Their place felt like home and the bunk bed was enjoyed by the two young boys in my group. Marty was easy to communicate with, provided lots of suggestions for places to see/things to do, and made sure our stay was great. Would highly recommend this place in Trout River!

Thank you Maria for your feedback and treating our home like your own. We had a couple inquiries regarding the internet and realize some guest still prefer to be able to access WIFI. Based on feedback we will be installing it for the next season. Thanks so much and so happy you enjoyed your time in Nfld.

Trout River is a beautiful place! This was a great place and Marty is very responsive. There was a boil water advisory in place and Marty called the local store and prepaid for water for us! He was also helpful in making fishing suggestions for my husband. The only downside was lack of wifi and TV (there was a TV but with no cable or satellite and the DVD player wasn't working).

Hi Cassandra Happy to hear you did enjoy Trout River. Our apologies for the DVD player. It took more time than planned to get one, unfortunately it didn’t get replaced until after your stay. Thanks for the feedback on internet. We didn’t advertise internet this year and based on feedback folks preferred to be remote location and unplug. We are, however, looking into having it installed so travellers like yourself will have access if you choose. Thank you again for staying in our home and enjoy the remainder of your summer. Safe travels.

Thank you for the feedback. Any concerns or repairs needed can be addressed 24/7 by the contact numbers provided during your stay. We recently had the shower repaired by a contractor. I just followed up with the current renters and everything is working normal in the bathroom.

This property was great - very clean and nicely decorated. Parking is right next to the entrance. Except for a couple small stairs to enter the property, it is all on one level and easy to negotiate. The host is super responsive. There are plenty of basics (paper products, detergent, towels, etc.). They even provided coffee. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware and dishes. Good view of the water from the back. The house is very close to several trails, including Tablelands. There are a few convenience stores nearby. There is a good restaurant in town and several in nearby Woody Point and Norris Point. The boat ride going out of Norris Point was really nice too.
