Everything about this place was perfect, nice, clean, quiet, the greatest getaway place I’ve been to so far, host texts back the fastest I’ve ever seen, we recommend this place to all who head toward Hemphill, Texas or just to be on the river , even tho we had to leave early , it was the best place to stay
Wonderful location and beautiful place. Loved the deck and outside area which is where we spent most of our time. They provided everything you need down to a fillet knife to clean your fish!!! We will stay again
Place was filthy. One door would not lock. Bed cover had dust and lent on it. Tub was still wet not dried out with towel. Microwave was not clean. I don’t think the owner has been there in a long time or he would fire his cleaning lady. I’m a man and I can clean better than her. Deck wasn’t swept. Cover for furniture outside was on the ground and wet from rain. Seats were dirty. Hardly any maintenance out side. Grills hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. Dust all over them. Hard to get ahold of owner to talk to. Did not look like the pictures they posted of the place. We did not stay there at all. Found much nicer places to stay. Would not recommend this place to anyone. In fact we will be letting people know not to go there. Big disappointment. Sad someone would not take care of there place any better.

My cleaner went to the property and took time stamped pictures and videos after the initial complaint. The place was in immaculate condition. This guest stated on the phone that they wanted to stay closer to where their tournament was.
Doesn’t look like much from the road but place is finished out super nice and awesome lake view. Mid lake area with easy access. Will definitely stay again!
Great getaway with an amazing seating area.. perfect for lake gazing & wine sipping! Lovely stay. Great amenities. Just bring a bathing suit, fishing pole, sunscreen and you're set!
It was the perfect relaxation stay after a long day of fishing.
We hosted a friend from Wyoming and they loved being close to the water. Everything was clean and when we contacted the manager he was quick to return our call to help us set up WiFi. We are very satisfied and plan to return again.

Disliked: Cleanliness
The cabin was very dirty and one of the bathrooms wasn’t working the dishes given were dirty and there was other stuff inside the cabinets open the fridge had dirt inside of it. But it has a really pretty view just that the house isn’t clean at all. When I told the host about the bathroom I got no answer

I drove 4 hours to personally inspect the cabin after this stay. Im not sure if the cleanliness can be substantiated by these pictures. I found a clump of hair in the tub and the tub drain was closed and dirty water was left in the tub. There were playing cards all over the cabin and playing cards outside. They left burnt cooked asparagus in the oven and trash all over the property. I have pictures of everything
We had a relaxing weekend here and this property definitely earns 5 stars. Comfortable beds, fluffy towels, new appliances, great outdoor area with lots of seating, and the entire property has been beautifully updated. The owner was friendly and responsive. We caught tons of fish off the dock and even met some very friendly neighbors who brought us a basket of fresh blackberries! We would definitely rent this property again. Highly recommend!
Great clean place and location. Very large deck with fish cleaning area. Launch is very close and could leave boat tied off to dock without having to relaunch every day. Very easy checkin process and owner is readily available for any questions you may have. Would definitely book again.
This stay was top tier. Not only did the camp have such a charming character, but it was also very clean and had all of the amenities we could have needed. We enjoyed the outdoor lounge area and caught perch at the dock. The boat landing is only a minute away, and the camp is in a great fishing location. We will definitely be back!
We had a great stay at the cabin. It was clean and cozy. The interior design in the bathroom and all the wood, etc you could tell there was a lot of thought put into it. The bunkhouse option was also very nice to have. The deck was such a relaxing option to sit and chill or read a book. We did not know the owners boat stayed there but once messaging them and realizing we were able to tie our boat up on the side of the dock. Our only other suggestion would be to maybe have the living room bunks put in the bunkhouse and maybe a futon in the living room or another couch because seating was a little limited with only the couch and chair. This wasn’t a problem and we just laid on the bunk beds to watch tv and as a parent I could see having the extra beds in the main house, so again not a turn off just our suggestion. And another thing was absolutely no phone service inside the house besides FaceTime. This “problem” I absolutely loved not having my phone ring once. The WiFi is amazing so you are still able to send emails, get on socials and receive text or FaceTime calls. Again this was not a problem because most people are not sitting inside when on vacation and they have great WiFi or just take a step outside if you need to make a call. We come to Toledo bend every year and love it and this house will definitely be on our list to stay at again.
We live in Baton Rouge and love coming to our lake house
