Private Riverfront w Pool/Hot Tub/Cabins. Sanctuary for Family/Friend Gatherings
Pick a room overlooking the pool or the river in the main cottage. This 5 bedroom cottage sleeps up to 12 in the main house (2 queens, 2 full and 4 twins). There are two separate little cabins for additional guests and great for kids! (2 twin beds in each cabin).
Huge deck and outdoor seating overlooking the direct access to the Wood River in the backyard. There are kayaks + paddle board to use, and can take you all the way into Hope Valley center (3 miles down the river, 60-75 paddle ride). *Kayaks and paddle board are inflatable and must be dried off + deflated and stored at the end of guests stay.
In addition, the property has a well maintained full size pool, outdoor cabana and hot tub. For your convenience there is a full sized fridge and freezer, as well as a grill for outdoor cooking.
It is a peaceful sanctuary for family and friends to gather and create lifelong memories together. We hope you enjoy it as much as our family does!

Located in Hope Valley, this cottage is in a rural area and on the waterfront. Samuel E. Perry Grist Mill and Carpenter's Grist Mill are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Yawgoog Scout Reservation and Great Thicket National Wildlife Refuge. Yawgoo Valley Ski Area and Water Park and Fantastic Umbrella Factory are also worth visiting. Make sure you get close to the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

We live in Boston and needed a place close by that could let us relax in the nature with family and friends.
Why they chose this property
We chose the property for several reasons.
A peaceful and absolutely stunning place surrounded by nature. Country and woodsy feel. Endless hiking trails and outdoors activities. Fireplace in the fall/winter allows for cozy nights on the couch. The pool is our wake up shower in the summers!
Has that "Vermont feel".
Literally right on the Wood River. The river is our back yard.
In a National Preserve area with lots of hiking and trails and lakes for canoeing and kayaking and tubing and fishing.

What makes this property unique
When we welcome guests to the house we say would you like a pool view room or a river view room? All good. Our kids LOVE to have "sleepover" in the the two separate little cabins on the property that are fully furnished with electricity and they stay there with friends and hang out. Or for extra guests too. And of course, THE POOL! Another favorite activity during summer is to pull up a chair next to the river and read or swing in the hammock and just watch the water flow by and chill out.
Note: cabins not heated, only open during warm season. Same goes for the pool, open during the summer May-Oct depending on the weather that year.
