The apartment matched the photos, and the location was convenient to 7-Eleven, a small grocery store and several Thai businesses. However, it did not feel ready for a long family stay. There were many spiders upon arrival. Even after another cleaning, spiders remained and ants and roaches appeared, so traps were placed. The closet was filled with the owner’s belongings, leaving little storage, although the host said the items could be moved.There was no internet when we arrived; it was restored two days later. The bed was very firm, the hot-water flow was weak, and the poorly ventilated bathroom had a persistent unpleasant smell. We also heard construction noise for about an hour one day.Maintenance checked the water on August 12, and on August 13 we were asked to leave because further work was required. Evacuating with my young child made the apartment unsuitable for the rest of our stay. The host communicated and offered alternatives, but after the repeated problems, I declined.The area did not feel especially diverse during my stay. Minority travelers seeking a visibly multicultural neighborhood may want to research it first.VrboCare handled the resolution very well. Despite difficulty reaching me internationally, the team stayed in contact, reimbursed emergency lodging and helped recover nearly all my costs. I appreciated that support, but I would not recommend this apartment for a family or extended stay.
