We are located between Cortona and Monte San Savino. The estate was once the property of of the Cavalieri di Santo Stefano and the Grand Duke of Tuscany.
The estate farms five hundred hectares specializes in grain, sunflower, maize and tomatoes, as well as grape vines, olive oil and fruit trees, including peach, pear and apple. We also have riding stables if you wish to board your horse.
The cypress lined lane leads to the villa, passing through the olive and tartufo groves, riding stables and family chapel. The front looks out onto the estate park filled with wild birds, chestnut, oak and pine trees - organic herb and vegetable gardens with antique rose gardens and lemons. The entire rear of the villa is discretely stone walled with the pool, gazebo, bar hut, barbecue, limonaia with ping-pong table, change room & a washroom with a shower. True Tuscan Experience!

The home rental experience begins before the stay, and our interactions and numerous (I am the detailed trip planner) questions and communications with Marcelene were professional, quick, helpful and extremely accurate in planning our first time trip to Tuscany with 12 family members, all over 18. We knew this was going to be special, and it exceeded our expectations! From the thoughtful check-in, to access to Tiziana (what a ray of sunshine each morning) to willing and able groundskeeper extraordinaire, Constantino, to the on-going contact with Marcelene, this hostess was determined to make our stay magnificent. Oh, and did we mention the villa? Out of a storybook, and when our wine guides, locals in the area and master sommeliers, picked us up, they couldn't help but ask for a tour of the villa and back garden, claiming, "Now this is a true Tuscan villa". Bravo, Marcelene, thank you for welcoming us in to your family home & history, and entrusting us with your masterpiece. We left Villa Fontarronco better than we arrived.
