Historic Hilltop Guesthouse - Charming studio/cottage one block from downtown
This adorable studio was remodeled summer, 2024 so everything is brand new and has everything any one would need. It is located one block from the Museum of Art as well as downtown so no need to get in your car. Our guesthouse sits right behind our main house which is on the beautiful historic 6th Ave. one block from town. You can park behind our house and beside the guesthouse.
Our studio/guesthouse has a king size bed so you will sleep well after exploring Laurel all day. The blackout curtains will keep out the light so you can sleep late if you'd like.
There's a little kitchennette with microwave, refrigerator, sink, and Keurig coffee maker. Enjoy a slow start to your day sipping a cup of coffee with the coffee pods that we provide.
Relax with a hot shower or bath at the end of your fun day in Laurel since the bathroom has a full size tub with a shower. No need to bring soap, etc. as shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel is here for your convenience. We installed a magnifying mirror to help with putting on makeup. A hair blower is also provided.
There's plenty of space to put your clothes in the wardrobe and dresser so you don't feel like you're living out of a suitcase.
If you feel like taking some time off from shopping and need a little down time, relax on our love sofa that reclines. Raise your legs while you watch TV on the new smart TV or enjoy reading a good book. We offer free wifi so you have access to the internet. You'll feel rejuvenated after a rest in our quiet neighborhood.

Thank you for your wonderful review. We're so glad you had a good time in Laurel and at our guesthouse. We hope you'll want to return.
Lovely little guest cottage that was conveniently located to historic downtown Laurel. We even discovered that one of our favorite home renovations on Home Town was right across the street! The owner was extremely helpful and even baked us cookies. Would stay there again if we come back to Laurel.

We are glad that all went well for you. We apologize for not meeting you but I (Beverly) was out of the country and Don (who was home) was very sick.
Please come back any time and we will welcome you with open arms and homemade cookies!
Beverly and Don were out standing hosts. They met us upon arrival and quickly responded to our requests. They made us feel part of their family. Also their recommendations were spot on regarding where to eat shop and explore. When we come back to Laurel we'll only stay in their cute quiet and clean Hilltop Guest House.

Cottage was very well maintained and the property owners were very friendly, even baked us some cookies which we enjoyed the first night with a hot cup of coffee. Bed was comfortable and great wi-fi access. Several great local stores to shop at and places to eat near by. Excellent place for a couple to stay.

The area was everything we had hoped-for. We had an excellent stay. A total surprise and one that should be noted, is the Hellfighters Complex. A must see for anyone visiting the area.

About the host
Hosted by BEVERLY POOLE
My husband, Don, and I lived in Florida before moving to Laurel in 2021. We came to visit and fell in love with this special town and so decided to move here and have loved every minute. I lived in CA for almost 30 years and Don is from Boise, ID. God brought us together in 2013, we got married in 2014, and it's been la grand adventure ever since. We enjoy traveling a lot but we always love coming home to Laurel. This truly is a special place.
Why they chose this property
We are blessed to live in the historic area in Laurel. We're just a block from town and so we enjoy walking everywhere. It's a beautiful place to live.
What makes this property unique
We decided to remodel our guesthouse summer, 2024 so others can experience being close to town and yet have their own little place to relax. It's a small place but has everything anyone would need. We would love to share our guesthouse with you.
