Goldens' Retreat -Spacious 5-bedroom house - Pet & Family Friendly!

This spacious 5-bedroom, 3.5-bath home is ideal for families, friends, and pets. Located just a short walk from beach access, it features a community pool open daily from 9 AM to dusk, April 1st through October 31st.

We love cooking and bringing everyone together, so we’ve stocked the kitchen with everything you need—from a crock pot and toaster to a Keurig, Nespresso, and a traditional coffee maker. (Please note: coffee and filters aren’t guaranteed, but guests often leave extras.) You’ll also find sharp knives, cutting boards, mixing bowls, and plenty of dinnerware to make cooking and serving easy.

Families will also enjoy the many kid-friendly amenities including a pack-n-play, baby bath seat, infant-to-toddler booster, indoor toys, puzzles for all ages, and lots of beach toys. For outdoor fun, enjoy bocce, shuffleboard, ping pong, corn hole, and more!

For those working remotely, the master bedroom includes a small, portable desk and chair setup, offering a comfortable space for emails or virtual meetings.

Grill Info: The home includes a charcoal grill, similar to those found in public parks. It's pictured in the listing to help set expectations. Grilling utensils are available in the storage area, and while guests occasionally leave behind charcoal, we do not supply it. As with all outdoor items, we ask guests to leave the grill clean for the next guest.

Linen and Towel Policy: Pillows and clean quilts/comforters are included for all beds for every reservation.

Reservations booked on or after 1/6/26 include towels and linens in the total fee. If you prefer to opt out of having towels and linens provided, please reach out for a personalized cleaning quote.

Reservations booked prior to 1/6/26 do not include towels and linens by default. If you would like to add linens and towels to your stay, please reach out for a personalized quote. We ask for at least one week’s notice and request that you share the number of guests and which beds will be used, so we can tailor the quote accordingly. Guests are also welcome to bring their own towels and linens to save on fees.

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
If you moved any furniture during your stay, return it to its original location. If you used the ping pong table, dartboard, or grill, take a moment to clean and reset each one.
Guests with pets should pick up any waste from the yard, and anyone who used baby equipment—such as the pack-n-play or booster seat—should wipe it down and store it neatly.
Once you're ready to leave, please text “60 Pvt_/out” to 910-713-3939 to confirm your departure.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Home was conveniently located to a community pool and beach access. Layout of home was open and comfortable for our group of 10. Owners were helpful and very responsive. We would stay there again.

My husband and I have rented beach houses in OIB for the past 9 years. We do it so we can have a week with our kids and grandkids. We all enjoy the beach and OIB is a great beach for families of all ages.

Relaxing time with family

Very nice relaxing time with family. Enjoyed the close location to the beach and fun restaurants. Sat out on the porch many days enjoying the sunrise and sunsets.

Good Time at OIB!

My husband and I, along with our 2 dogs, enjoyed our stay here. Owners were very nice and quick to respond to questions. It is a nicely decorated, well stocked house with a lot of room for large families. We will hopefully come back again with more family members!

My family and I had a great time last week. Loved the front porch and location to the beach. Short walk to beach and neighborhood nice. I would say what needs the most improvement is the underneath of the house. It needs a good pressure washing on the pavement and cleaning it up. It was not as clean and tidy as other houses I have stayed for us to hang out underneath. The lights with the big bulbs would have been nice but they didn't work. Another refrigerator somewhere in the house would have been nice too or put one downstairs underneath house maybe even in storage closet.

Well spent family time together.

Location was great but this must have been the week every college kid was there. Police were called in the neighborhood twice. If planning on grilling, don’t it took forever. Charcoal grill not propane. Wished I would’ve known but it just said grill. Kitchen well stocked. Water dispenser on refrigerator did not work. Parked a car in gravel in front of house but was parked backwards and got a 50 ticket. Ridiculous since it was on private property. But overall , house was nice, clean, and we had a great time. Had lots of beach toys and floats, lots of beach chairs. Property mgr was great. She responded quickly.

The house was nice but I felt the furniture was dated and dirty. We had to put sheets on the furniture as we were not comfortable sitting on them. When we arrived I couldn't get into the house because the code that was provided was not working. I did call the owner, who was VERY responsive, and she was able to send a code or something because we did eventually open to the door. When we came off the beach the first day, the hose outside was broken, I called the owner again, and she immediately sent a new hose. We also found roaches in the home, gross, and again let the owner know and she immediately responded with pest control. The owner was WONDERFUL, kind, responsive and overall very great to work with. We had expected to use baby furniture portable crib, booster seat, but we couldn't find those items anywhere. We had to purchase for our trip, again disappointing. It was disappointing with all the hiccups but we made it work. It wasn't a bad place but I guess we just had to manage a few things. It was close to the beach and we were able to enjoy the front porch a great deal.
