Thank you so much for the kind review! We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay and sincerely look forward to welcoming you back in the future!
We had the best family vaca at this cozy cabin in the woods! They had everything we needed, it was super clean, and the extra amenities were definitely enjoyed (hot tub, Nintendo and Pac-Man)!! We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet and serene getaway. It was within driving distance to all of the places on our list including Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, Manitou Springs and Royal Gorge Bridge and Park (a little further but worth it). Thanks again!

The home was clean and well maintained. However the beds in the home were not very comfortable. My husband and I took turns sleeping on the couch since the queen size bed didn’t allow for two people due to the bed being broken down in the middle. Hot tub was clean and hot. Driveway was challenging if you don’t have a 4 Wheel Drive vehicle due to the steep incline and not being paved.

Hello Carla,
We're glad you found the home clean and well-maintained and enjoyed the hot tub.
We were surprised to hear one of the beds wasn't comfortable for you and your husband. We want to assure you that the luxury Nectar Copper Hybrid mattress was recently purchased and isn't broken in any way. While every sleeper is different, we've never received a complaint about this mattress before; in fact, we've received several positive reviews of it. We were especially surprised to learn of this, as we want all our guests to have a comfortable stay and didn't receive any reports of an issue during your visit, even after we checked in with you after your first night. We encourage guests to reach out immediately if anything isn't to their liking, so we can try to address it right away.
Regarding the driveway, your stay was during the summer, when it's very accessible for non-4x4 vehicles. As is typical for a mountain cabin, it's a maintained, unpaved driveway, and we navigate it regularly in a non-4x4 vehicle ourselves without issue.
We wish you all the best in your future travels.
A great property, very welcoming and comfy! The two living and sleeping areas work perfectly for us, as our son and his family always vacation with us. The kitchen was supplied with just about every appliance you could ask for from a toaster to an air fryer and instapot. Loved the privacy of the location, but it still had easy access and wasn’t far from the things we wanted to do. Highly recommend visiting the Wolf Sanctuary! We learned so much on this tour! Our grandson declared this our best vacation ever by the end of the first day, after the fellow in the photo paid us a visit as they were playing cornhole in the driveway. We live in a rural area, so seeing deer around the house, but a bear is a totally different story! On our last evening we were returning from dinner and saw several vehicles pulled off on the shoulder. As we got closer, we could see an entire herd of elk grazing in an open area!

Thank you for the great review, Mary Jo! We're so glad you enjoyed your stay and that the two-level layout worked well for your family. We love hearing that you used the well-stocked kitchen and that the location felt private yet convenient.
It sounds like you had some amazing wildlife encounters! We're so happy your grandson had the "best vacation ever" and we hope to welcome you back again soon.
P.S. Love the photo of the visiting wildlife!
We had a really great experience with this trip. Communication with the owners was quick and easy. They were kind and very responsive. The cabin is exactly as pictured—actually it’s even better than pictured. The online pics don’t do justice to the amazing view from the upstairs living room. Everything was clean, well-stocked, and comfy. The bed was comfortable, and we appreciate the ability to set the temperature with a quick touch of the thermostats. We enjoyed playing the arcade game downstairs. The hot tub was well-maintained, clean, and a great way to end the day. We enjoyed soaking and relaxing while staring at the stars. And while you can see a few other cabins nearby, it felt very private. For a couple wanting to get away for the weekend, the atmosphere and quiet made it an excellent trip.

Welcome to our cabin! As someone who loves to travel, creating a welcoming and comfortable space for fellow adventurers is a passion of mine. This cabin has become a very special place for me and my family—our go-to spot for quiet and peaceful times. The tranquility here is something we cherish, and we're delighted to open our doors and share that experience with you. We hope you create wonderful memories here!
Why they chose this property
The magic of this neighborhood is its unique balance. You feel completely immersed in nature, surrounded by tall pines and aspens on a spacious, private lot. The scene is quiet and serene—it’s common to sip your morning coffee while watching a family of deer pass by. What we love most is that our neighbors share our appreciation for this tranquility. You get the peaceful escape you crave, but you aren't completely isolated. It's the perfect home base, putting you close to Pikes National Forest while keeping the grocery store and local restaurants easily accessible.
What makes this property unique
Our cabin truly offers the best of both worlds. We recently completed a full renovation to create a "modern cabin" feel—all the cozy, rustic charm you want from a mountain getaway, but with stylish, modern comforts and amenities. It’s not just a place to stay; it’s an experience. Between the light-filled, vaulted ceilings and the private hot tub perfect for stargazing, you get a sense of luxury in a wonderfully secluded setting.
