We had issues getting in, the key pad worked but you had to lean against the door for it to unlock. We had to call and someone did come out to help us get in. The chair on the landing has broken slats so every time you sit down it makes a terrible noise. Beds were comfy but there should be extra blankets available in the winter months. Lots of steps and some are very steep, would be good to warn people. Worked great for our one night.
Ideal loft- style stay with walkability to Little Italy, Case Western Reserve University, and University Hospitals campuses. All amenities covered. Steep sets of stairs to maneuver, but host couldn’t be more congenial and communicative. Really appreciated feeling “home” on the East side of Cleveland.
Was a great location with off-street parking, which is hard to find in the area. Super clean with plenty of room. Very responsive communicator. Would stay again next time in town.
Unit was easy to find and access. I was only here for a quick overnight between shifts as a healthcare worker at one of the local hospitals, but this place more than met my needs. Ample space with 2 bedrooms for a small family to stay, especially if coming for an event related to either the local hospitals or CWRU campus. A warning for the tall (I'm over 6 feet) there are a couple spots where you will need to duck a little as this unit occupies the top level of the dwelling it is located in. Otherwise no issues. Owners were quick to respond to questions, great with communications and the provided amenities were more than adequate. Easy walk to CWRU campus, local restaurants and a great little coffee shop. Will definitely attempt to stay here again if needed between shifts!
Property was very close to the Cleveland clinic, my brother's and I stay for 2 days and traveled back and forth, the drive was on 5 minutes. The place is was cute and very clean. Newly updated. The bathroom was a little small but we made it work for us.Host was very responsive.

Meh
The stairs and hallways of the building are filthy. I was worried the room would be as bad, but it turned out to be pretty nice. Excellent location. Host never sent instructions after telling us we could check in half an hour early (those 30 minutes were important to us), then blamed the management app being down—which was not my problem, and even if true, should not have caused a total communication blackout. It's 2025, you can contact people in a variety of ways. Overall, a disappointing stay.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
We're truly glad to hear you found the unit itself to be nice and enjoyed the excellent location — that means a lot to us, as we work hard to ensure the inside of the space is clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed.
It sounds like your main concerns were with the building's common areas and the temporary communication issue at check-in. While we understand how that impacted your experience, we do feel that a 3-star review doesn’t quite reflect the quality of the stay in the unit itself. That said, we appreciate the feedback and always look for ways to improve, including how we handle communication when third-party platforms are experiencing outages.
Wishing you all the best in your future travels, and thank you again for staying with us.
Warmly,
Shavit

The space was nicely decorated and the beds were comfortable. You have to climb multiple flights of stairs (as this space is in the "attic" type area. The bedrooms and kitchen were comfortable size. There were very minimal supplies available, but basics. The bathroom and shower were very strange, as it was hard to use the shower and toilet die to the setup of the space. Sitting on the toilet you literally have your face and left shoulder right by the sink.... So, be careful if you have to pee in the middle of the night lol. The shower was partly on an incline which made taking a shower a bit awkward. The couch and chair in the living room space looked nice, but we're not very comfortable. The location was good. We stayed here for Cleveland Clinic appointments and we were 5 minutes from the clinic or less.
The property was very clean, but surprised to find that we had TWO long flights of stairs to climb to get to the unit. Also, felt a bit unsafe with the open stairwell just outside our bedroom doors. This needs some type of a gate or barricade. Otherwise, is as depicted in the pictures.

We appreciate your response!
We do not believe that a flight of stairs should take away one hole star from our overall review, but we respect your opinion.
We hope you had a nice stay and that you stayed warm.
I arrived at night and had a bit of trouble finding it (my fault) but the owner responded promptly and kindly to my questions. The apartment requires going up two flights of stairs. Once inside it was well appointed, very clean, nicely decorated and everything worked well. The bed was new and pillows very comfortable. Location is across the street from Case Western University fraternity. Campus, Severance Hall, Art museum etc are a short walk away. VEO bikes are also all over the place if you want to rent one. Parking was available both behind the house and on the street, which was well lit. Would stay there again.
My Wife booked this VRBO for me so, I was walking into the unknown. Upon my late arrival to Cleveland/Little Italy via the red line from Hopkins Airport the walk to the location was easy to get to if youve been here before. The rental was comfortable, cozy, and clean. The downside was bringing lots of luggage up and down through very steep and narrow staircases. This by no means should deter anyone from staying here. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was very clean and spacious. The point of contact was on his/her game and always was responsive to any questions or concerns I had. My daughter and I enjoyed our stay and we would definitely stay here again when visiting Cleveland/Little Italy in the future.Regards,RJ Korzep and spaciousand
I reached out to the owner letting him know our child would be accompanying us during the stay and he tried to charge us 50 per night more than the VRBO price for 2 adults and a child. Then the owner failed to provide us with checkout instructions, so we cleaned the home just like any other property we’ve stayed in before and sent a message letting them know we’d left, as well as detailing some items that were missing when we checked in that the next guests would probably need. We ended up receiving a message the following day that we would have to pay for dirty bed linens, then another message that someone had “urinated” on a bed and we would be reported to VRBO unless we wanted to contact the owner and settle it outside of VRBO. I responded this was not true and asked for photos. The owner never responded and I contacted VRBO immediately to let them know what was happening. They accessed our messages in the VRBO app and I sent them photos I took of the rental when we checked out. We were told not to pay the owner any additional money and they would look into the matter. We received an email from VRBO that the case was closed and then 2 days later, the owner charged my credit card without my consent, which I had to dispute payment with my bank. I honestly do not understand how anyone would rent a property like this and wonder how many other people they have tried to extort in this same manner. I definitely would not recommend renting any properties owned by this person.

Hi Jaime,
Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the apartment itself and the location — it seems your main concern was the lack of check-in instructions, which we understand. We use an automated platform called Hospitable, and it appears there was a delivery error. We’re actively working to prevent that from happening again.
As for the linens, we received extensive photo documentation from our cleaning team showing they were left in poor condition. While we chose not to pursue reimbursement at the time out of courtesy, we want to clarify that any claims were handled properly through VRBO, and we do not have a way to charge your card. The photos you provided do not include timestamps, but we’re happy to review the matter further through VRBO’s resolution process if needed and provide them with our evidence. Those things happen, and I would not take offense if I were you. Rather, understanding, common courtesy, and healthy communication should be demonstrated.
Wishing you all the best!
