Sunny A/C apartment with terrace overlooking countryside and private pool

In the heart of the small village of Saint-Pargoire, in the Herault valley, surrounded by a countryside made of garrigue, pine trees and vineyards, this very nice apartment with A/C offers a complete open view to the surrounding landscape from its terrace that overlooks the 10x5 m swimming pool (The heating system guarantees 27 degrees from May to September). South-west oriented, it is fully furnished and equipped. Bbq in the garden. Very quiet area.
All facilities in the village (2 Bakeries, 2 Groceries, Newsdealer, Pharmacy, Butcher, Doctors...). Supermarkets and all kinds of shops in Pezenas and Clermont l'Hérault (15 km both).
Good restaurants and wine cellars everywhere in the region. Seafood restaurants in Sète, Mèze, Bouzigues and Balaruc. Numerous local markets in the villages and many interesting sites to visit around: Montpellier, Pézénas, Béziers, Sète, Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, Salagou lake, Clamouse caves, and the cirques de Mourèze and Navacelles...


Swimming Pool: The 5x10 m private pool with additional 1.5 m roman stairs (Depth from 1 m to 1.8 m) is heated at 27 degrees with a Heat pump pool heater. We use Salt water Electrolyser which gives a cleaner and softer water and eliminates inconveniences, such as eyes irritation, dry skin, unpleasant taste…


Shops in the village: All facilities (2 Bakeries, 2 Groceries, 1 Newsdealer, 1 Pharmacy, 1 Butcher, 1 Bar, 1 Pizzeria, 1 Restaurant, 1 Caterer...) are located at 200 m from the apartment.

June & September: Dear All, I would like to inform / remind you that June & September Months (even May actually) are quite pleasant in South of France. The weather is warm and the nights cooler than in July & August. There are less tourists, as kids are at school. The swimming pool will be at 27 degrees ! Therefore, do not hesitate to take your holidays off-season.

To reply to the most frequently asked questions. There is no additional cost for whatsoever related to the apartment rental (Parking, water, electricity, cleaning at the end of the stay, access to the pool,… are included.). There is only one apartment for rent (Upper level with the terrace on the pictures). The apartment is adjacent to my parents‘ house, and except both of them, there will be no more people/families at the address during your stay.

A Gem in St Pargoire

We, my husband and 10 year old son have just returned from a wonderful stay in St Pargoire. The apartment is exactly like the description and photos, really clean with a superb pool and has everything you need plus it's in a great location in the village, walking distance from the shop, restaurant, bar, post office and weekly market. The reservation process was very smooth and any questions answered promptly. We were welcomed by the owners who were lovely and immediately made us feel at home and yet left us to relax and enjoy our holiday. The terrace is great for breakfast and evening meals and has a great view of the countryside.... Saint Pargoire is in a great location for the sites of caves, lakes, rivers for canoeing, Abbeys, wine tasting, art and pretty villages so much to see and with the beach at Meze only 20 minutes away..with all the delicious sea food (the oysters are a must) one week is not enough. We will be back and would recommend this "gem" for all who would like to relax in village life knowing that the sites and cities of Beziers and Montpellier are not far with stunning scenery en route...

Très agréable séjour

Le logement est propre, la piscine est le petit diamant pour profiter à tout moment de la journée pendant la chaleur de notre séjour. Nous avons apprécié l'accueil chaleureux de Marie-Claude, de sa discrétion et de nos discussions quand l'occasion se présentait. Petit village sympathique avec boulangerie, boucherie, fruits et légumes du producteur.

Très bon séjour

Nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances dans ce joli appartement. La piscine est assez grande et parfaite pour nager ou se divertir avec les accessoires mis à disposition. Notre hôte nous a parfaitement accueilli et conseillé durant tout notre séjour. L'emplacement est relativement proche de tout ce qu'il y a à voir et visiter dans le coin. Nous sommes sorti chaque jour sans jamais aller à plus de 30 minutes de route. L'appartement en lui-même est parfait pour un couple, seul bémol : il fait très chaud à l'intérieur et est compliqué à rafraîchir, notamment avec les nombreux moustiques peuplant la région. Nous recommandons !

Excellentes vacances.

Nous avons été très à l'aise pendant la semaine où nous avons séjourné dans la maison. Endroit très calme et confortable et est très bien entretenu et ne manque de rien. Le seul problème est le nombre de moustiques, mais c'est normal en plein été et à côté de la piscine. Je reviendrai certainement si j'en ai l'occasion.

Nous avons passer un séjour au top Mme Roy a été très accueillante des notre arrivée et s'est montré très discrète durant notre séjour. Une piscine incroyable toujours propre du matin au soir un extérieur très agréable avec de la place et de la vaisselle pour recevoir. On nous a mis a disposition un lit bébé et une bouteille de rose nous attendait dans le frigo après 8h de route quelle bonheur. Toujours disponible quand on a besoin de conseilŕ ou de lieux a visiter. Bref, séjour parfait merci beaucoup et à bientôt.

Nice location but ...

The owner’s response to my review of the apartment in St Pargoire is most illuminating. Point by point, my positive comment in the visitors’ book stands to all as a clear demonstration, however insincere, of my continued effort to diffuse a difficult situation. The unpleasant personal rating bestowed upon us cannot be regarded as objective in the absence of a single example in justification, unlike my own observations, supported by honestly recorded instances of the owner’s mother’s conduct. In respect of the owner’s claim that the pool filtration plant is inaudible (“except to you”), I feel compelled to ask why does he think that the matter was ever raised and to advise him that by reference to the visitors’ book he will see that we are not the first to raise the issue. The apology for the narrowness of the local roads, inferring falsely that we had found fault with them, is pure obfustication. Over forty or fifty years of holidays in France we have become familiar with village driving conditions and given that we were using a small sports coupe, there were absolutely no concerns. Further obfustication is provided with the inference that we had complained of the noise from the village fete. The truth is that following another sleepless night due entirely to the noise from the pool filtration machinery, I asked the owner’s mother for the second time if anything could be done about it. Surprisingly she insisted that the noise was not from the filtration equipment but solely from the village fete. This was the occasion, referred to in my original review, on which she became personally abusive. The owner refers to my “erratic behaviour” in attempting to excuse his mother, yet he can provide no example in validation of this criticism. Further, since he was not present at any time during the whole period in question his apparent knowledge of all considered events must be regarded as unoriginal and therefore unsound.

Laid back and relaxing

We spent a delightful week at the end of August staying in this very well equipped 'granny flat' in the quiet village of St Pargoire. We had visited this area many years ago and wanted to rekindle some fond memories. The weather was very hot and we spent our days visiting old haunts in the mornings and lazing by or in the pool in the afternoons. Marie Claude and Gabriel were delightful hosts who made us very welcome and were always on hand but never intrusive. We slept well despite the heat and had no problems with noise from the pool filter. When booking the accommodation I had only noticed the word 'Parking' on the website and had not spotted the three dots after it which if I had I would have seen that the car had to be taken off site and parked a couple of minutes walk away in a public car park . If I had noticed this I probably would have discounted the property and that would have been a great shame as it really was not an issue.

Des hôtes sympathiques, un cadre reposant, un piscine idyllique que demander de plus ? Nous avons passez une très bonne semaine et nous reviendrons assurément. Le seul petit hic (mais je chipote !!) c'est qu'il manque une machine à laver le linge pour que ça soit vraiment parfait. En tout cas merci à Marie-claude et Gaby pour cet accueil et ce séjour "familiale" et à l'année prochaine pour au moins 15 jours cette fois.

Idéal pour des vacances à deux

Calme, confortable et fonctionnel, l'appartement est très agréable. Il n'y manque rien (télévision, wifi...). La terrasse ensoleillée, offre une vue superbe sur Saint Pons de Mauchiens et la campagne environnante. La piscine est magnifique, spacieuse avec une eau entre 28 et 30°C . Elle a grandement agrémenté notre séjour. Le village de Saint Pargoire est bien situé pour le tourisme, la randonnée à pied ou à vélo, ainsi que les baignades dans l'Hérault, à l'Etang de Thau ou à la mer. Tous commerces et un restaurant sympathique. Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié l'accueil chaleureux et discret de Marie-Claude et Gaby.

Very relaxing and enjoyable stay in St Pargoire

Can only echo all the other excellent reviews of this property. Not only are Marie-Claude and Gabriel great hosts, they are also great company, we really loved getting to know them. Also, Patrick was the epitome of efficiency and helpfulness during the booking process, promptly answering any question we threw at him! St Pargoire itself is a delightful village, a fair selection of shops and a weekly market just a 2 minute walk away. Both Boulangeries are superb, with a wide selection of fresh breads, pastries, cakes etc and friendly service. We couldn't choose between them, so alternated between them! The staff in both of the small grocery stores are also very helpful and friendly and between them offer a wide range of good quality merchandise. We have no hesitation in recommending this property to other travellers.

A Home away from home

Just back from a wonderful stay in Saint Pargoire with my husband and nineteen month old son. Marie Claude and Gabriel are excellent hosts, wonderful hospitality, and really made us feel so welcome. We had the wonderful pool all to ourselves and the location is ideal. Our little boy is asking to go back to the pool everyday. Highly recommend this property, and check out the local restaurant Lou Regalou. We will definitely be back.

Lorsque l'on découvre cette petite pépite au milieu de son écrin de verdure et après un excellent séjour, on conserve précieusement l'adresse pour revenir et on la conseille volontiers à son entourage! C'est un petit cocon agréable et calme, où il fait bon se détendre et se ressourcer, sans oublier l'accueil très chaleureux et attentionné de Marie Claude et Gabriel. Un grand merci à tous les deux. Cette location très bien équipée, idéale pour un couple, mais aussi lorsque l'on voyage en solo, a un atout de taille : sa piscine ! mais également sa terrasse avec vue imprenable sur la campagne environnante. Le village de Saint Pargoire est très bien situé pour faire de nombreuses visites et balades dans l'arrière pays et dans les vignobles ou pour se rendre en bord de mer. Sur les conseils de Marie Claude et Gabriel, les destinations de randonnées ou visites ne manquent pas. A découvrir sans modération.
