We had a fantastic vacation. This was our 2nd time staying at this location. We loved hearing and watching the Loons on beautiful Miller Lake. We had great weather to fish, kayak, paddle boat, bike ride and walk. Very peaceful, relaxing and clean.

Beautiful cabin on Miller Lake! Cabin is cozy and comfortable for 5. It has all the essentials. The lake view and trees are beautiful. Very peaceful and quiet. We spent time boating, fishing, grilling, shopping, relaxing, and going for walks. There is also a great bonfire pit down by the lake. The hosts are welcoming and responsive. We would definitely recommend to anyone and would love to come back!

Thank you for the great review. We would love to have you back!
We really enjoyed our stay at Miller Lake. Rick and Cindy had great communication, were knowledgeable about the area and we appreciated their help answering any questions we had. The cabin was cozy, close to the lake and had everything we needed. We spent the majority of our time on the lake fishing. We caught nice bass, pike, blue gill, and some crappie. We would love to come back! What a wonderful place to stay with our family.
Great cabin on a beautiful lake. We brought a fishing boat and tied right to the dock. Cabin very comfortable and property was beautiful. The neighbors goats were also a kick! Thanks
Such a nice location to enjoy your cup of coffee in the morning or your glass of wine in the evening on the deck or down by the lake. Very quiet and laid back. We really enjoyed our stay.

Glad that you enjoyed the cabin thanks for coming to Miller Lake.
Perfect place to celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary.
Very peaceful area & adorable cabin. We enjoyed coffee on the dock, paddle boating, kayaking, fishing, listening to the Loons & watching the Eagles. We found the Eagle's nest. At the end of our adventurous days we relaxed around the fire.
very QUIET lake after Labor Day!! loved being to fish off the paddle boat provided. Location is excellent to go to many different lakes to fish and explore the many unique surrounding towns. Definitely going back next year
Nice cozy clean cabin. We were there before summer season got started. Plenty of wood to burn in the stove and stayed warm.

About the host
Hosted by Rick Taplin
Hi! We are Rick & Cindy Taplin. We have owned the property since 1996. We have recently retired and our home is next door to the guest cabin. We love it up here and hope you enjoy your time here as well! We have 2 grown children, 2 grandsons and 2 granddaughters--who we love to visit in the Twin Cities. Rick is an avid runner and I enjoy pickleball. We also enjoy gardening, fishing, spending time on the lake and bonfires with friends. Please join us!
Why they chose this property
Miller Lake is a quiet, private lake since there is no public access. The water is very clear and you can catch panfish right off the dock or from the paddleboat. At night you can fall asleep listening to the loons and owls. It's an easy drive from the Twin Cities but has an 'up north' woodsy feel.
What makes this property unique
The cabin and landscaped yard are clean and well kept. It is easily accessible to grocery stores etc and attractions around Brainerd.
