When you enter the gate next to the painted 1306 sign, you’ll find yourself immersed in this one-of-a-kind tropical wonderland. Welcome to the Flower Power House, where Key West’s free spirit lives on in every colorful corner. Built in 1938 and reinvented over decades by its owner-artists, this isn’t your average vacation rental—it’s an ever-evolving, artful hideaway with handmade details and a playful maze-like layout that invites discovery. Each door leads somewhere fun: a cozy sleeping porch, a pastel pink seashell carriage house, or a sunlit loft tucked under open-beam ceilings. Inside, you’ll find six bedrooms spread across three interconnected spaces. French doors open nearly every room to breezy porches, and no two rooms are alike—think tropical colors, original art, funky shapes and textures, and vintage finds that harken back to the “good ol‘ days” of quite a “hippy” Key West. Play games in the spacious living area under soaring cathedral ceilings, cook together in two kitchens plus a kitchenette, or sneak off to a private nook with a book to unwind. The vibe is eclectic, colorful, and quirky—perfect for guests who appreciate artful character over a predictable, commercialized feel.

Outside, you’ll waltz through the thriving foliage crafted by the owner’s own hands—an enchanting backyard full of winding walkways, darting lizards, and layers of tropical plants that feel part garden, part storybook. Covered porches wrap around the home on both levels, inviting long conversations and slow mornings. Just beyond, a massive 40’ swimming pool glimmers in the sun ready for splashing and cooling off. Please note the pool is shared with only the two neighboring townhomes.
