Apartment includes; living room, kitchen, bedroom, full bath, and a walk in closet. Also has a private deck on the back overlooking a pasture. Very secluded 7 acres with private gate in a quiet area. Country living but only minutes from town. Convenient location for; Southeast Alabama Medical Center, Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine, Farley Nuclear Plant, Michelin, and Dothan Airport. The apartment is detached from the main house providing you with privacy. Pets are allowed on a case by case basis for a one time fee of $10 per pet payable upon arrival.

Cute quiet getaway

I booked this just so I could pet the donkeys. I'm from the area and just needed a quiet place to get some computer work done. This spot was great. Check in was easy, I Love that it was gated and the donkeys were a huge plus they were so cute.

A very peaceful stay

From the quick reservation, to the communication, the directions, and comfort, everything went smoothly. I do appreciate the directions to and onto the property. We really enjoyed the peaceful and safe setting that was close to town with a country feel. The apartment was well stocked with essentials for kitchen and bath so you have less to pack. The bed was really comfortable too! We will definitely stay here again

Fun/Quaint/Tranquil

This vrbo was located in an area which was tranquil yet close to town. Our great grandson visited us for a few hours and thoroughly enjoyed feeding the donkeys 6# of carrots. Little things that made us feel comfortable and welcoming were the little welcome sign (chalkboard) and the mints. All the amenities of home and more. The bed was very comfortable. Would stay again when in town.

Peaceful retreat

We stayed at Claire's place in our way back to Texas from Virginia. We loved the place before we even got out of the car. It was very peaceful, we loved interacting with her animals, and we enjoyed coffee on the porch. The apartment was cozy and accommodated is well. We would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

A Good Place Off the Beaten Path

We stayed here just one night on our way driving north for vacation. Very good communication with property manager, through both email and texting. We let them know we would be arriving a bit earlier and they were able to offer us early check-in. Directions were very detailed, we had no problems. The cottage was as described, and all ready for us. Plenty of fresh linens, dishes, paper goods, etc. Things were nice and neat, few notes on where to find things. Nice binder of info about property, instructions, etc. We did not have need of anything extra, nut no doubt the property manager would have helped if we did. We felt very welcomed and comfortable. We had our small dog with us, she lovedit there! Plenty of room inside and out to enjoy. We saw the donkeys, but didn't go over to them. Many people do enjoy them. We were pleased with our overall experience here and would definitely stay again.

What a fabulous place! You are minutes away from everything yet you feel like you’re out in the middle of no where. Claire’s cottage was impeccably clean. It had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen was well stocked and we had plenty of towels. A cute sign also welcomed us by name. Again everything was immaculate and the bed slept great! The cute chairs by the front door are great for relaxing and listening to all the frogs or looking at the stars. And the donkeys were an added bonus. Our granddaughter got a huge kick out of petting them. Claire and Kingsley were the best. Check in and check out was extremely simple and we had no issues. They were very welcoming and answered any questions we had immediately. We hated to leave such a nice relaxing location. But we are thankful to have found Claire’s cottage and we will always look to book here first anytime we are in the area!

Place was nice and as described. Nice mini donkeys on site I was allowed to feed and pet appropriately. Bed was comfortable and water was hot. What else could a person want? No but really, the stay was pleasant and uneventful.

I am an older, stay-at-home, very busy mum. Besides school related activities I am busy looking after our many (rescued) animals; 4 dogs, 4 cats, 6 goats, 5 miniature donkeys, a horse and a mule. I have moved around a lot as my husband is a retired army officer and I am English by birth. I still love to travel when time permits only now its mostly closer to home. I have three children. My oldest is an ER nurse and no longer at home, a 18 year old son and a 12 year old daughter. As a family we love to stay active and involved in our community and attend most of our local events. You'd be surprised at all the fun activities the little town of Dothan puts on.
I feel I am a very open-minded person and I have brought my children up likewise. If you are different (or not) you will fit in very well here.
