When we arrived to find some amenities lacking, the manager appeared within an hour with all the items on our long list. We were much appreciative. We would have liked to receive the door entry code in a timely manner. Four hours’ notice was not really enough notice because I had to alert my friends, who were arriving from a different direction. Be aware if you are sleeping in the basement bedroom the heating apparatus is quite noisy. The lower level bedroom near the bathroom needs new rugs. We taped safety padding to the upstairs bathroom cupboard. The room design is so cramped, we feared we might bump our heads when we used the toilet.
We were there to celebrate thanksgiving with our college student so they don’t have to drive home. However, there were barely the basics for kitchen utensils/supplies and the couple they had (for example the can opener) were broken. The kitchen seemed dirty as well as the table and seats were covered in a sticky film. The listing stated that it could sleep 12 (thankfully we had no where near that many) however there were only 3 queen sized beds and none of the couches were pull out couches to make into beds…there were just 2 air mattresses that were shoved in a dirty whole in the wall covered by a curtain on a curtain rod that we wouldn’t have found except we also couldn’t find any blankets or additional bedding to use (which we eventually found 2 small blankets in the dryer). We also stated that we had children with us, and it said kid friendly, however they didn’t state the fact that there are no TVs available to even hook a device up to or to have basic tv available. Plus, we had a hiccup in our plans that we tried to communicate with the host the week before and we never were even met with the decency of a reply. overall we were extremely dissatisfied.
