Rustic experience. A step above glamping. Bed was comfortable and jungle view was impressive. The water was not drinkable and the provided water bottle was nearly empty. While the team delivered a gallon we still had to make many grocery stops for gallons of water. Hot tub was great addition.
Nicest park of the stay. The toilet and window crank were both broken.

There was no bath mat so the floor got all wet and we had to use a towel to dry it. It would be nice to have had at least paper plates. The mats on the serving tray were not clean, also The serving utensils were not very clean There was only 1 coffee serving in the room for 2 days stay

This was a great spot for us to stay close to volcanoes national park. We stayed in the pahoe’hoe and a’a rooms which are situated adjacent to one another with separate keys. For our family, this worked out well as our two boys (12 and 16) had their own space with their own bathroom and we had a separate space with our own bathroom. I would imagine that I would not feel comfortable if my children were younger, but it was fine for us. Both rooms had space heaters which provided adequate heat on the cool golcano nights. The a’a suite’s “fireplace” heater didn’t work, but a separate heater was provided and worked well. It was a bit challenging to regulate the temperature, but by the second night, we had it figured out (we turned off the heater at night and relief on the warm bedding and flannel PJs.) The view from both rooms was a lovely jungle that felt secluded and private, despite having neighbors nearby. There was an old tube TV still in A’a in addition to the smart tv and there was some paint peeling in the bathroom. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return!

Beautiful place - but needs some TLC

Great location. We got there at dusk - tropical pathway lights didn't work - most were smashed. Hot tub was not "locked up" as supposed to be - and cloudy. Did not want to chance a UTI so - no tubbing which was the whole reason we picked this little gem. Sink clogged up, wallpaper paper falling off, possible black mold on skylight above bed. No batteries in remote. We left a day early. I hope they fix it up.
