Nature Lover's Paradise with Outstanding Hospitality
This vacation rental is a true gem. I especially appreciate homes that have been lived in by their owners, and this one reflects that warmth and care. The property features two full apartments—one upstairs and one downstairs—each with its own bathroom, kitchen, living, and dining areas, offering plenty of space and comfort.Perfect LocationAlligator Point is a slice of paradise on a pristine, dog-friendly beach alive with wildlife—even in winter. We spotted dolphins, heard alligators bellowing, and even saw a black bear on our drive from the peninsula to the mainland. The beach curves into a bay with a rookery, making it a haven for nature lovers.Nearby, there’s so much to explore. We kayaked on the Wacissa River, fed by crystal-clear natural springs perfect for swimming. At Edward Ball Wakulla Springs State Park, we took a boat tour and swam with a manatee in 73F water. The Gulf Specimen Marine Lab in Panacea is a must-visit, with fascinating creatures like water-squirting triggerfish, nurse sharks, and electric eels, plus a quirky new "Picklearium" that’s best experienced without spoilers!Exceptional HospitalityPhilip, the homeowner, was incredibly accommodating, flexible, and responsive. Despite booking less than 24 hours before check-in, everything went smoothly. When I needed help with the door locks, Philip was patient and quick to assist. This rental combines comfort, adventure, and outstanding hospitality. I highly recommend it!
