Really liked this place! It was in a great downtown location, and had a great city view.It was well equipped for a good visit; could have used a larger French press or a keurig machine for coffee.Bed was comfy. Underground parking was good; could walk to restaurants, shopping.
Before I begin, I want to make it clear that I do not leave poor reviews without first allowing the other party to address and rectify the issues. Unfortunately, despite raising my concerns, albeit toward the end of my stay, the response from YYC Real Estate Group was inadequate and dismissive of the overall experience.We have always chosen Premier Host properties on VRBO for their reputation of providing seamless, stress-free stays. In most cases, our expectations have been exceeded. Unfortunately, our stay at the ONYX was the opposite. It was obvious the property had not been properly inspected or maintained before our arrival, and the lack of attention to detail was unacceptable for a Premier Host.Some of the issues included:•Three broken windows that were never disclosed prior to booking.•Substandard general condition (broken moldings, damaged furniture).•Dirty cutlery with dried food still on it.•Inadequate supplies (we had to purchase tea towels, dish cloths, and even a shower curtain).•Unsafe shower curtain rod that repeatedly fell and once struck my wife.•Stained pillows from previous guests.•A poorly installed air conditioner that I ended up repairing myself with duct tape.Taken together, these issues clearly demonstrate that the property was substandard and did not meet the standards expected of a VRBO Premier Host.Therefore, I cannot recommend this listing or management company based on our stay.
