With its friendly neighbors, cozy restaurants, and tree lined streets, our neighborhood will immerse you in Charleston’s classic charm. This house is perfect for a family or group seeking a fun, culinary and cultural vacation. Popular dining spots in the neighborhood include Xiao Bao Biscuit, Fuel, Porchetta Shop, Southbound, R Kitchen, Chubby Fish and many more! Our guests and neighbors also rave about Welton's Tiny Bakeshop and Kudu Coffee. We recommend going to either for a cup of locally-roasted coffee or their delicious cookies and cakes. The house is only a short walk from the very popular King Street where you will find a multitude of great shops – including antique shops, book stores and fashion boutiques – as well as endless buzzing restaurants and bars.
Getting Around:
You can walk almost everywhere - but should you want to rest your feet, there are many other options for getting around: Uber, Lyft, Charleston Bike Taxi, Charleston Rickshaw, Green Taxi or Yellow Cab.
Other Things to Note:
Luggage storage offered Monday- Friday at our main office from 8:30am-5pm. On weekends we recommend utilizing Bounce Luggage storage. Please inquire once booking is complete for the address!

David is a wonderful host. The house was great for our retreat. The only problem we had was the construction across the street, the road construction and the traffic after 11:00 pm. During the day, the noise was so loud an outdoor conversation was difficult. At night it sounded like the cars were drag racing. If all of the noise wasn't there it would have been great. I understand David has no control over any of this, but just wanted to give people a heads up.

Regarding the construction and traffic noise, this is unfortunately beyond our control as it is a neighboring project. The listing had been updated prior to your booking, and we thank you for providing this helpful note for other guests.
Our stay was great! We attempted to extend 1 night and the cost was more than two nights a original rates. We were surprised at the cost to add the one night. Made zernsense to pay that rate for one night we went elsewhere for the night and found similar accommodations for half the price. The original contracted price was agreeable and couldn't have asked for better location downtown to our work site. We were just very surprised by the rate quoted for the one night. Many if not all other properties in area that we extended, did so at the average rate we paid for stay minus some fees. This was the only location of 10 Rentals we had that did not work with us in the extended day. Don't get me wrong. We were happy with the rental just very surprised at the price extended for the additionalNight. I could expandMore but not the point. We were more than satisfied with the rental and location. It suited our needs well.

Rates can sometimes fluctuate based on availability and demand, which may result in differences compared to the original booking. That said, we understand your surprise and appreciate you sharing it. We’re happy the rental still met your needs overall, and we’d be glad to host you again.
Good location, however major construction on the block resulted in gas being turned off. This resulted in no hot water or gas for cooking during the majority of our stay. Entryway to house is run down and unsightly. Dark furnished interior with bedrooms up a Steep staircase. Walking distance to King Street and restaurants a plus.
