We so appreciated the pleasant place to stay during our visit. Clean, comfortable, excellent communication as always. It was perfect for the three of us. Thank you-
every thing about this cottage was excellent. great value, close to town and everything else. when we come back to independence we would gladly stay here again.
I absolutely LOVED my stay!!! If/when I’m back in Independence, I will book again! I loved being close to everything, but also being away from any hustle and bustle. I got to interact with the animals on the property, which was such a bonus!!
Amazing location - near town but so peaceful and beautiful. Clean, softest sheets, quiet, and love the horses and other animals. A wonderful retreat while I’m here on business for the week. Great communication. This is where you want to be in the area!
Very nice and quiet. Made friends with the goats. We really enjoyed the country atmosphere! Peaceful in our time of need, Would definitely stay there again.
The queen size bed was comfy and cute. Ample number of pillows. The sofa in the living room can be converted to the king size bed. Very efficient! Although the cottage didn't have a full kitchen, the air fryer oven, microwave, and Kurig worked just fine. Bring your own chopsticks, by the way, if you are in the mood for ramen instant noodle soup. (That's the only utensil they don't privide.) The property is inside a small farm. The animals were lively, gentle, and surprisingly quiet. We loved them! The location is close to Walmart, Casey gas station, parks, and zoo. People were also very nice there. Definitely worth the visit. ❣️❣️❣️
The cottage was amazing!! super clean roomy! I will stay there again the next time I have business in this area! I was a little heartbroken for the white dog in the pen, she was beautiful and lonely. she would not let me pet her and seemed afraid of human interaction. I wanted to bring her home and give her lots of loving!!lol

Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We're so glad you enjoyed the cottage and found it clean and spacious. We'd love to host you again the next time business brings you to the area.
Our guard dog definitely appreciated all the extra snacks you shared with her! 😊 We hope she'll get to see you again on your next visit.
I completely understand why you felt for her. She's never really been one to enjoy much human interaction, and she's always been much more comfortable doing the job she was bred and raised to do. She has an incredible amount of energy and a very strong prey drive—if we let her roam with our smaller animals, she literally runs the goats to exhaustion trying to "play" with them and loves to eat all the chickens. We love her dearly, but her important role is keeping watch over the property and warning off coyotes with her bark, which helps keep our livestock safe.
Thanks again for your kind words, and we hope to welcome you back soon!
