Refresh your senses and rediscover serenity at a tranquil, newly renovated family farmhouse built in 1917. Set on 12 pastoral acres reminiscent of rural Virginia, yet minutes away from lavish golf courses, unique wineries, fishing and historical adventures. Located between Richmond and Williamsburg, Blakemoore is a timeless gem situated on a working hay farm. The refurbished farmhouse still retains its charm and connection to the past, featuring its original floors of oak and heart pine, old-fashion woodwork, simple decor and open fields all around. Loaded with steadfast down-home character, Blakemoore welcomes four guests (maximum) to full air conditioning and heating, a big screen TV and WiFi, and ample parking for your boat or RV. Enter the front door to a large foyer with space to hang your coat and stow your belongings. The living room has floor to ceiling front windows and a comfortable sofa, big screen TV and a dining table. Then step into the eat-in kitchen with its crisp white cabinetry and contrasting granite counter tops. There, you'll find all the amenities you need-a microwave, Keurig coffee maker and basic kitchen appliances (no washer/drier). Then, climb the staircase to an expansive landing with its enticing reading nook by the window. Two spacious adjoining bedrooms await you, as well as a modernized bathroom and shower.-the main bedroom features a king-sized bed; the second room with a queen sized bed. Both bedrooms have large windows that both bring in the light and draw your view to the world outside. Perhaps you'll just breathe in the tranquility and peruse the rustic elegance of your lodgings. First, there's the sprawling front porch, which is perfectly suited for observing wildlife while sipping coffee or toasting the sunset. Check out the property's walking trail; investigate the smokehouse; gather asparagus, blueberries, apples or pears when in season. Veteran owned and operated.

Charming property in the country. Super comfy for a quick getaway, owners were welcoming and thoughtful about what guests would need. Would definitely stay here again if on the area again.
We truly enjoyed our stay at the farmhouse. The house was clean, comfy and cozy. Set in a country setting, it was very quiet and serene.Would definitely recommend this home!
Super relaxing and very secluded! Loved the coffee and sitting on the porch at night. We walked around the property the next morning and the trail was nearly mowed. Excellent bedding and very comfortable beds. Would stay again.
Great spot. Interesting old house, wish the walls could talk. It was very clean, great AC (on an extremely hot day), plenty of parking, and very quiet. Erik was a great host and super responsive. I woukd definitely come back!
This old refurbished farmhouse was a great home away from home. Erik was a fantastic host and the home was absolutely stunning! The red and blue birds were fun to watch in the mornings. We were 40 minutes from Bush Gardens and close to 4 wineries. If quiet and tranquil is what you need this stay is for you!
I cannot say enough good things about this beautiful home and our hosts. The location was amazing. Quiet country road, lovely lawns and flora. The house was really clean and welcoming. The beds were comfortable and combined with the quiet area, afforded a restorative night's sleep. Plenty of fresh clean linens. Kitchen well stocked with all of the necessities and then some. Large airy rooms with plenty of natural light. This home has all of the character you would expect from the era in which it was built, nothing cookie cutter here. Highly recommend for someone who needs a quiet, peaceful get away.
