Large, comfortable home set back and uphill from the road. Large bedrooms with a family room on each level of the house. Huge deck, great for eating outdoors and viewing the beautiful night sky. From the deck we saw cattle grazing to our right and pronghorn antelope to our left, all while looking at the Sawtooth Mountains. Very peaceful and relaxing.
Wonderfully chunky old log cabin, very nicely modernized and comfortably stocked and decorated, the cabin itself is truly great.
When you step into the deck and see the Sawtooth Mtns in front of you, you’ll never want to leave. The stars at night are overwhelming, and the view of the Milky Way takes over from the Sawtooth Mtns as a beautiful wonder at night.
Well located with Redfish Lake activities a short car ride away, in truth the entire area is within your adventure zone. Book it. Book it now while you can!
Cabin was exactly as described and great for exploring the upper Sawtooth Valley and Salmon River. Terrific views from across the valley of the Sawtooth Range. Close to Stanley, but secluded enough to feel like you are getting away from it all. Everything worked well in the cabin. Great log cabin feel, but you are definitely not roughing it. We had a very small group, so two bathrooms was fine. Bigger groups might find two bathrooms tougher to manage. We would definitely rent this cabin again if we make it back to the Stanley / Sawtooth area. No hesitation rating this cabin as 5 star.
Beautiful location in full view of Sawtooths and convenient to trails both north and south. The floor plan has plenty of room for gatherings while separating bedrooms. The deck is awesome for meals and mountain viewing. And let's not overlook the wildlife: pronghorn, deer, coyotes and hawks.
This cabin is not fancy, but clean and comfortable, we loved it! It was the perfect location for us to mountain bike, hike, and boat. The view is incredible and hard to beat. Our only suggestion would be an umbrella for shade on the deck!
This place was awesome! Views of mountains, 360 degrees, wildlife, access to lakes galore, hiking, and star gazing like you’ve never seen. Shhhhhh! This place is not crowded. We enjoyed everyday!
The only house I ever want to stay in when visitin Stanley!
My family and 2 dogs stayed at the Decker Peak Log Home for a few days during a 3-week road trip all over the United States, and this was one of our favorite houses. The view is incredible and the house is very comfortable. I wish we could have stayed in this location much longer during our trip.
We have stayed here now three times. Really great place for two families. Well away from any civilization but with comforts of home and only 15 minutes from Red fish and 20 minutes from Stanley. The only items that I wish could be improved are lack of window treatments (the sun gets really hot in the afternoons and the sun and heat fills the entire upstairs) and the home hasn't been updated for some time. We still love the place and the location and will return every summer we can.
We had such a wonderful stay here! Such spectacular views! What a beautiful piece of property!
When we come back to Stanley, we will definitely be booking here again! Owners were easy to get in touch with and everything was just as expected! Thank you!!!
The Decker home is beautiful! The view from all of the rooms is of the stunning Sawtooths. The space in the home was perfect for our 3 families (6 adults, 3 kids). The location is great--close to hiking trails, Redfish Lake, and Stanley. If we,can coordinate our family schedules another year, we'd love to come back!
We enjoyed a much needed family vacation. Our kids, their spouses, grandkids, grand puppies and puppies spent 5 days and 2 nights at the Decker Peak House in Stanley. Our family hasn’t been all together for a year and a half since our son and son in law are military.

Spectacular location with spacious house
We rented the house for a family vacation together. Our goal was to have a common gathering area, share meals and have a base to enjoy the Sawtooth valley. This house worked wonderfully.
The house was clean and well furnished. The kitchen was had everything we needed for our meals. The managers were helpful and friendly folks. We frequently saw pronghorns, deer, and sandhill cranes.
One driving note, the driveway is a little rough in places, you'll be fine in a typical SUV style auto but you might think twice in a city sedan.

Stunning views, charming house and perfect location
We loved this house. The location is perfect as we were close to everything we wanted to do. The house itself is better than what even the pictures show. The house is very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. The views were breathtaking from the porch where we spent most of our time relaxing, eating, playing games, reading books, sunset watching, etc.

Amazing place, quiet with stupendous views.
Highly recommend this place if you like a quiet, spacious place with great views. It's about 15 minutes to Redfish Lake and 20 minutes or less to Stanlley. There are fun places to wander around with a dog. The famous Fisher Creek mountain bike ride loops around this place.

Lots of peace and quiet. Incredible views.
This is a great house it's spacious, well furnished with lots of deck space. We had a heat wave during our stay and luckily the bottom floor of the three stories remained cool even though the outside temperature was up to 95.
