This is a modern interior barndominium in quaint Clatskanie. It is the perfect home base for your trip. With 3 bedrooms including 2 queen beds and 1 triple bunk bed with trundle along with 2 full bathrooms and complete kitchen this place has everything you need. The additional living spaces with sofa beds and futons provide extra comfort and sleeping accommodations for guests. Our 20 acre farm offers experiences as well as accommodations. The barndominium shares the property with our family home which is a pleasant distance from each other allowing for plenty of privacy.

Quiet, rural, relaxing stay

The property owners were very nice and helpful. This property is a little rural but quite easy to find as long as it’s not in the dark the first time arriving. Owner provided good directions. Lots of room to spread out in the barndominium. Clean and good amenities. Nice hot tub and fire pit. Fun to watch the friendly cows wandering in their pasture.

Lovely Barndominium With a lot of space

The stay was great, just make sure you get there before it gets dark, as the road to the home is on a private long dirt road, next to a river/stream. There are cows and chickens, and outside fire pit.The home has enough space and comfy couches and a large enough kitchen to cook a feast.The only downside when my fiancé arrived before me, she said there were men outside the Barndiminum, where she was to park. VRBO advertises that the homes rented are "free" of homeowners, so we were expecting to not have anyone there when we arrived like in other places we have rented. So that through us off and it made my fiance uncomfortable, but the owner came over and introduced herself my fiance' said and she was very nice and explained all that she needed to know.We do undertand its on a farm which is great and we loved it, but we did not know the owner would be next door in the main house. We thought we were renting a home on a farm to ourself. for a couple days. Not that big of a deal, but for some people knowing the owner is in the house next door might be helpful.We would rent again, just didnt know some of those things ahead of time.

It is 20 acres of land surrounded by various natural beauty - a cottonwood forest on one side, mountains in the distance, farmland, and sloughs full of wildlife. Our family can raise our farm animals with a reasonable barrier from the pesticides and pollution of the city.

What makes this property unique

The modern luxuries and clean new feel to the interior combined with farm experiences, bird watching opportunities, proximity to Astoria, Jones beach, and the kayaking. The vacation rental shares the 20 acres with our family home. You have the chance to see us do our farm work and inter act if you like. You can possibly help feed cows or chickens if you like 😊
