Not as advertised

Dirty, drafty, loud. They wouldn't even let us in the lobby to check in, we had to stand outside in the high winds. There were no blankets, no smoke detector (but there was a hole in the wall where it would have gone), no breakfast, TV didn't work, the heater/AC was impossible to use, and the wind came right in under the door, which was especially fun when the power went out and there was no lights or heat. Also, cockroaches. The neighborhood is busy and loud and questionable safety. However, the restaurant next door is super and there are many food and shopping options in the area.

We tried to cancel this trip but were unable to despite buying the travel insurance. We did not stay. We drove up and decided against staying here or even checking in. Did not look or feel safe. Outside very unkept.

Employee at check in was rude. She asked how many people we had and I told her 4. She yelled at me “YOU WANT FOUR ROOMS?” No. I was answering your question. We were placed on the second floor with no elevator. I asked for a lower room and was told the entire hotel was full. No. After getting the room key, I went to lay my already asleep child in bed but stopped short because a GIANT cockroach with WINGS crawled onto the pillow. I stopped and looked around to literally find them everywhere. When we left I went to tell the front desk we were leaving and wanted a refund. She tried to move us to another room, we said no because cockroaches. Then she only offered a partial refund. I started to argue and decided finding a new place was more important and I’d handle this later by phone. Except there was no available hotel rooms in the area. My family ended up sleeping in the car. NEVER STAY AT THIS PLACE.
