Nestled on the banks of the Crooked River, this charming retreat offers a central location to enjoy all four seasons of Pure Michigan fun! From thoughtfully appointed bathrooms, bedrooms that can sleep up to 16 guests, a kids hang out named Camp Run Amuck newly updated for Summer 2025, to a stocked kitchen, Bear Cabin offers something for everyone in the group. Modern amenities include high speed internet, EV Charger, 2 sets of washer/dryers, wood burning fireplace and year round outdoor hot tub. Guests can enjoy the use of 4 kayaks and 2 stand-up paddle boards or bring your boat and park it at the private dock. Unwind and relax on the dock and wave to passing boats as they idle by on their way to Burt Lake or Crooked Lake. Crooked River is part of the Inland Waterway which can take you all the way to Lake Huron. Three hundred seventy five feet of waterfront provides plenty of room to spread out and challenge each other to yard games in the park like setting. Evenings can be spent sharing stories of your day’s adventures around the fire pit or gazing at a star filled sky from the outdoor hot tub. It's easy to see why you'll be able to unwind at our place and enjoy all that Northern Michigan has to offer. Visit the neighboring communities of Petoskey, Harbor Springs, and Indian River, where you can enjoy winery or brewery tours and indulge in the local culinary scenes. Abundant snowmobile, ATV, hiking or bike trails are conveniently located to Bear Cabin. If golf is your game hit the links at numerous nearby courses. If you’re here when the snow is flying, you can shred the slopes at Nubs Nob or Boyne Highlands. In less than 40 minutes you can take a day trip to Mackinac Island where you can enjoy world famous fudge and car free streets while visiting historic sites. Art lovers will revel in numerous art galleries in Charlevoix. Boyne Mountain Resort offers the Sky Bridge, Avalanche Bay, golf and skiing.
