Worked out great for us as my elk hunt was maybe 3 miles away. The cabin was very accommodating for the 4 of us.Tv didn't have any local news or regular networks and when streaming the Lions football game we would loose it frequently.
Cabin was very cute and comfortable. The kids really took advantage of the water kayaking and paddle boating. Fish were plentiful but more successful using the paddleboat.
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. It was exactly as it was described. We loved the quiet and made a couple of great road trips to Petoskey and Traverse City. We were really looking for some peace and quiet in nature and that's exactly what we found! Thanks Dawn!
From the moment we pulled into the driveway to walking down the walkway and going into the house all three of us we're going on and on about the unique layout and cozy atmosphere. We toured all through the chalet and checked everything out and still was just excited about seeing the uniqueness of it all! Cabin... meet Chalet and that equals COZYOH THAT LOFT and looking down.. Kinda like the UBER SOFT AND AWESOME beds.Head right out the back door you'll be on a AWESOME deck and what we loved, unlike a lot of lake houses, IT'S PRIVATE... and at night the lights are incredible!! Don't forget to turn them on before you head down. There as you walk the wide mowed path you'll meet Deck #2 with a cute table and four chairs and umbrella, if you choose.. and a just in front of you you'll see the four kayaks and paddleboat. We used the sit on kayaks and the paddleboat thru our 5 days. We fished off them and the docks and caught a ton of bass ( biggest one was over 3.4 lbs) and little perch and bluegill, all we did was catch and release. We played our own games and Star wars monopoly and cooked a lot inside and out; the large grill worked great. We ordered pizza from the restaurant 1.5 miles down.. yes, it's 30.00for a 12 inch but it's heavy and thick and amazing and totally worth it. If you need last minute anything, there's a Dollar General 1.5 miles away. Dawn was STELLAR at communication from the beginning. ( Thank you!) Our trip was in June average 70 degrees.
