This place was everything we wanted it to be. Games and activities for the kids to enjoy and a large area for the them to run around and explore. Sky Lake, Helen, Anna Ruby Falls just minutes away from the house. The house and the area just felt amazing to be there.
What an amazing property! So much to do and a peaceful and relaxing setting. Close to Helen, great hiking, lots of restaurants options with 15 minutes of the property. We will definitely be back again!

Property was clean. The living area was smaller than expected. Our large family enjoyed the outdoor areas but felt a bit cramped when we were all inside.
This was a lovely home tucked into an absolutely beautiful surrounding. Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pickleball court was a huge hit and the group is planning the next trip!

Thank you for your review. It was truly a pleasure hosting you and your group!
We stayed with family for my son’s 13th birthday weekend. The games and outdoor activities were a hit! The nearby river was also a perk. Would stay again.

Property is gorgeous and secluded. The 2 structures were perfect for the family weekend my husband and I planned. It's just as pictured and somewhere I would definitely stay again. How was accommodating and responsive.

Thank you for your review, we are glad you enjoyed your stay at the Pickleball Retreat!
Just not enough room to say how great this VRBO was! We would stay here 1000 times and the kids and grandkids were saying they wanted to live here! Amenities galore, a babbling Brook right outside, immaculate, cleanliness, room for everyone and the dogs! Fully stocked kitchen with spices which we never see! Table, big enough for family dinners, extra bedding, comfortable beds, wonderful, outdoor lighting, seating outside to have enjoyment of the natural beauty and proximity to HELEN where we could take a few day trips to experience the Alpine village. We will absolutely be back and if you’re considering a place where you need a good amount of space for a family or a small group, this is your place 100%!
This is a serene and enjoyable rental within easy access to Helen. The beds are incredibly comfortable. I slept in the master bedroom and can’t remember when I’ve had better sleep. The host is INCREDIBLY responsive. There are snacks and coffee stocked in the kitchen. The house would be a dream for people with young kids—there are several game areas and a fantastic fire pit (stocked with wood). The front door (and two of bedrooms) are up a flight of stairs, so it might not be the best rental for anyone who struggles with stairs.

Thank you for your review, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us, hope to welcome you back soon!
This house had plenty of activities! We have our girls weekend every year in the mountains. We had a blast here. We had a couple of concerns at first. The property management cleared it all up very quickly! Amazing trip!Perfect for families with children/teenagers. So much for them to do…pickle ball, firepit with provided s’mores, ping pong, pool table, poker table, creekside…and list goes on.Highly recommend, especially for families!,

Thank you for your review. It was truly a pleasure hosting you and your group and happy to hear you enjoyed all of our ammenities.
We absolutely LOVED this property! With 5 adults and 6 kids ranging in age from 11-18, there was plenty for us to do on the days that we didn’t venture out. The property is close to downtown Helen as well as other fun places to go around the area. We loved driving across the creek every time we came “home” and we even saw a bear on the property! We played too many pickleball games to count, enjoyed both game rooms, had a movie night with popcorn down in the movie room, and spent lots of time hanging out down by the creek or in the hot tub. This property is lovely, well maintained, extremely functional for large groups, and the host was fantastic to communicate with. My only suggestion for future guests is to make sure that you lookup directions on your phone while you are connected to WiFi at the house. There is zero reception, which was totally fine by me, but the maps and GPS on your phone won’t be able to guide you unless you “start” while you’re connected to the WiFi at the house.

Thank you for your review, we hope to welcome you back soon at the Pickleball Retreat!
I booked this property because it was big enough for the two families. The place was immaculately clean when we arrived. The main house had a bedroom upstairs with its own bathroom. The main floor had a master bedroom with its own bathroom, two additional bedrooms, an additional bathroom, a laundry closet and of course a kitchen and living room. Downstairs had a foosball table, a ping pong table and little theater room with a couch with its own bathroom. The main house had a grill which we used one night and has a covered hot tub. I couldn't get the hot tub to work at first but a quick message to Timea and she had someone out there asap to get it up and running. Next to the main house was a garage with a studio on the second floor. The studio has a king bed, two chairs, a small coffee table, bathroom/shower, and a kitchenette. Down below in the garage was a game room with poker table (with cards and chips!), a pool table, TV, and two arcade games: a golf game, and Pac-man (which included Galaga and Dig Dug for you 1980s kids). And yes, I played all of them. In-between the main house and the studio/garage is a pickleball court, which we got to use when we had some sunshine. The house was about a 15 minute drive to downtown Helen. The host, Timea, was great with communication. Would stay here again without question. It has everything you need for a large gathering.

Wow—thank you so much for this amazing and detailed review! I’m thrilled to hear the space worked out perfectly for both families and that you were able to enjoy everything from the game rooms to the pickleball court. I'm especially glad we could get the hot tub running quickly so you could relax and enjoy it. It sounds like you really made the most of all the amenities, and I loved hearing that the arcade games were a hit too (Dig Dug is a classic!). You were wonderful guests, and I’d absolutely love to host you again anytime. Thanks again for choosing The Pickleball Retreat!
Just maybe a couple of new frying pans. Other than that. This place is fantastic. We loved it. Would stay again for sure. Great place to stay in visiting Helen.
The perfect retreat and location for our four-generation family gathering. The retreat sits on 4 acres of forest-like property with a creek running through it. Even the adults had fun exploring the property. The fire pit, picnic table and sitting chairs along the creek were so peaceful. The game rooms and the theater room were welcome areas for family fun. Our pickleball enthusiasts loved the court right outside the door. For us, the location was private and a perfect location to explore other activities beyond the Sautee Nacoochee and Helen area. I would definitely this retreat recommend to friends. Just one note - Crossing the creek to get to the house can get tricky for smaller vehicles, but it added to the ambiance of the location and our adventure. Thank you to the host for the excellent communication and quick response to my questions. Another family vacation in the books!

🚗 Arrival Information Adventure begins before you even arrive! To reach the cabin, you'll cross a small mountain creek. During normal weather, the water is shallow and most standard SUVs and many passenger vehicles have no trouble crossing. However, because creek levels can vary after heavy rain, we recommend an SUV or 4WD vehicle for the smoothest arrival.
The crossing is part of what makes this property so unique and private.
