Thank you for driving up from Indiana the stay with us! We appreciate it.
The house was very nice and clean. The driveway was big enough to accommodate our 2 trucks with 4 place snowmobile trailers. We were concerned about it only having 1 bathroom for the 8 of us but we managed. A 1/2 bath in the basement would make this place perfect. We had a great trip.
We went during a blizzard and lost power. The host brought us drinking water. They kept checking in with us. A very nice home. Will definitely keep on our list to use again.
We had a great stay at The 8’s! The house was spacious and was perfect size for our group. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed for cooking, all the beds were super comfortable and the house was super clean. Everyone loved and gathered around the big table in the kitchen and there was plenty of seating for everyone in the living room. The kids especially loved the downstairs and claimed that living room as theirs. Wr also loved having the garage space to hold extra gear and the men enjoyed grilling and hanging out in there. The host Molly is super friendly and helpful and I’m so appreciative we were able to book our stay here for the dog sled races weekend!
Absolutely loved the house. If you need somewhere to relax and unwind this is where you need to go. The house is amazing and the town was great for us and the kids. Would recommend to anyone.
Very easy to find, easy access, close to town, inside and outside was very clean, had everything we needed from dishes, cookware, towels and even a little wood pile for a bonfire. Super easy checkout instructions. Over all very happy weekend stay!
The farmhouse was very well kept and clean. It was a perfect place for our stay in Grand Marais. There was lots of room in the four bedrooms and the spacious garage was nice to have during our packing on a rainy day.
very clean and updated and modern home with everything we needed for a great family vacation. this is the nicest place we have found in the UP. highly recommended. Owner provided all of the details needed and it was an easy rental.
Wonderful property! Easy to find, very clean. Loved having a separate space for the kids to hang out and watch TV. Very peaceful. Quick drive to town. Would stay here again.
Wow what a beautiful home! Comfortable beds modern touches with a farhouse flair. All the comforts of home. There were 7 of us and didnt even mind only one bathroom we were so at home. Close to the trails the lake and downtown...We had a blast...thank you so much!
House was great and was the perfect basecamp for our trip. House was clean and beds were very comfortable. Molly was great to deal with also and was very timely and attentive.
This was a perfect spot located close to town, easy access to ORV/snowmobile trails with plenty of room for trailer parking. The house was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a great trip! Molly was a great host, so easy to work with. I would recommend The 8’s for any upcoming Grand Marais adventure!
Really good location for Grand Marais. House was mostly good except there were some dead bugs squished on the wall in a few spots. There is no air conditioning so I would not recommend this house for summer, we really struggled with that. We tried opening the windows, but even with the screens, that ended up letting a lot of mosquitos in, which obviously isn’t ideal. Felt like we had to choose between sweating all night or being bitten all night. Checkout instructions were brief which can be a good thing, assuming we did what it asked us to do. We weren’t totally sure. All that being said, as long as you aren’t visiting during summer, I’d say this is a pretty perfect house to stay in for the price. It was pretty nice, even with just the one bathroom. I think if another bathroom was added, this place could charge a decent amount more and be very worth it.
