The Neighborhood:
Red Lodge, nestled in the foothills of the Beartooth Mountains, is a wonderful place to visit if you are looking for family fun, a place to touch the wild, or just a chance to let your hair down. Whether you are wearing Birkenstocks or cowboy boots, you will find something to do here. (Although downtown is paved and we even have sidewalks, Jimmy Choos are probably not a great idea!)
In winter the road ends here. Downhill skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, sledding and sleigh riding are just the short list of activities that you can do when visiting us.
In summer we revel in the Beartooth Pass opening. We are only 68 miles from Yellowstone Park, but plan on a good two to two and a half hours drive as the “Pass” is stunning in high mountain vistas, rocky cliffs, and jeweled lakes. The Custer National Forest is a haven for wildlife including elk, moose, mountain goats, big horn sheep, bears (black and grizzly), mountain lions and wolves. Golden marmots are often seen dashing across the trails. Golden and bald eagles often visit our area, as well as sandhill cranes and blue herons.

Red Lodge, Montana is a rural community that does offer internet and cell service throughout most geographic areas but, some locations are completely void of any internet or cell service. In town and within a 3-5 mile radius of downtown you will enjoy solid cell signal but during times when our population increases due to events, celebration (such as the Fourth of July), or emergency situations such as a wildfire you will notice that these online and cellular services slow down and sometimes, they can slow down to the point where you have to wait to place a call. We can’t do anything to help in these situations, so we encourage people to enjoy the freedom of being “unplugged” and to be patient.

Great central location - only two blocks to downtown. The fenced front and backyards made it very pet friendly. Easy check-in and check-out and it even available early.
Our 2nd time staying! This place has everything we need and our favorite food and beverage spots are within walking distance. Thanks again for the lovely place!
We enjoyed our stay! It was perfect for a family of three or a couple. Very clean, comfortable, and great location.

Thank you so much for your review! We’re so happy to hear that the space was perfect for your family and that you enjoyed the clean, comfortable setting and great location. It would be a pleasure to host you again anytime!
Great location, pet friendly despite next door dogs that were a bit annoying. Queen bed a bit awkward for 2. House was adequate for our three day stay for walking and cycling around town.
Tremendous space for a couple staying in Red Lodge. Walking distance to everything in town. New appliances, everything is clean. We will try to stay at this place the next time we're in town visiting family.
We came to red lodge to visit some family and rio ridge was perfect. We had our dogs with us and our 3 year old and the house was perfect. It was clean, comfortable and in a wonderful part of town. Next time we’re back in red lodge we for sure will be booking again. Thank you so much!
We were in town for Skinoring. The check-in process was smooth. The home had everything we needed and was nicely decorated. Super close to downtown and enjoyed walking to the restaurants and shops. We will definitely book again and look forward to enjoying the front and back patios when they’re not covered in snow.

Thank you for the wonderful review! We’re so glad to hear that everything went smoothly during your stay, and that the home had everything you needed. It’s great that you enjoyed the location and were able to explore the area on foot!
Great location! Only two blocks to walk to North Broadway, where everything is located. Grocery store, restaurants, and even all sorts of shops. Front yard is fenced separate from the backyard. That worked great because, the house next-door has several dogs and they run and bark along the fence. We primarily let our dogs out in the front yard and for the most part, the neighbors had theirs in the backyard. Be Aware, there are big gaps underneath the front gate and the back.gate. You dogs can easily escape.Overall a good place to staying for both you and your furry friends.
The house is very cute and well taken care of. It has all the amenities you would need for a short stay. The appliances were nice and easy to use. And the little toiletries and sample gifts were very cute and appreciated.Dogs are allowed, and the property is dog, friendly, however, the neighbor dogs are not. Just be aware you will likely have to have your dogs leashed at all times and the neighbor dogs will be barking whenever you are outside. The fence is see-through so I almost had to break up a fence fight. Other than wishing I could let my dogs off leash in the yard, everything was great great for my short weekend in town.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We're so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay and appreciated the amenities. We understand how important it is to have a relaxing time with your pets, and we’re sorry to hear about the neighbor dogs and the challenges with the fence. We will definitely keep that in mind for future stays and hope it didn’t impact your overall experience too much. We’d love to host you again and provide another great weekend stay!
