Our family stayed at Shady Side in Hoi An for a month and a half and had an absolutely amazing experience.Our mornings were a highlight of every single day thanks to Lau, who is truly exceptional and such a huge part of what made our stay so special. She made the most delicious omelettes and pancakes every morning—somehow at record speed—always with a warm smile and positive energy. Beyond cooking, she consistently went above and beyond, helping us source better-quality fruits and taking care of details we didn’t even think to ask about. Lau kept the house immaculate, freshening it daily and doing a thorough deep clean every 4–5 days. We felt completely looked after.I sincerely hope management understands how incredibly valuable Lau is. She is the kind of person who elevates a stay from “great” to truly unforgettable, and guests are very lucky to have her.The entire Shady Side team was wonderful and incredibly supportive throughout our stay. At Christmas, Thương even surprised us with a Christmas tree and decorations, which meant so much to our family and made the holiday extra special.I honestly don’t know what else to say—it was that good. If you’re considering a stay in Hoi An, I couldn’t recommend Shady Side more highly. Thank you Shady Side!!
