The perfect anniversary getaway!!

Jack and Judy's property was perfect for our anniversary getaway! We've stayed in many VRBO homes, and this was by far the cleanest and most comfortable. The property had all the perfect touches, including a stoked fire pit, a porch swing with beautiful sunrise/sunset views, endless miles of quiet back roads for a walk, and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. Communication with Judy was excellent; we will certainly be staying here again!

Little Guest House in the Country

This guest house was in a good location, felt safe for traveling women. The home was well appointed and very clean! The owners are extremely accommodating and very nice. If we had needed anything they would have provided it for us. Would recommend staying here. You would not be sorry.

Peaceful and Relaxing!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The hosts were wonderful and very accommodating. We will definitely be back! There are a surprising number of things to do in the area, or you can just sit back and enjoy the peace of the place. We did some of both.

Just an oversight stay

This property was impressive. Very nice. We just stayed one night. Basically just needed a place to sleep but wow. I'd definitely stay again over any hotel. Judy was very good with communication. Highly recommend.

What a wonderful stay!!

What a beautiful place to stay on our trip. Couldnt have been more pleased with this fun location. Judith has thought of everything. It is so comfortable, beautifully decorated, and we enjoyed the porch swing during the storm too. Grateful we got to meet Judith and enjoyed her amazing homemade cookies too. Highly recommend this VRBO if traveling with friends and want a comfortable place to rest, shower, and enjoy the company you are with. Thanks Judith!

This property is one one the best I have ever stayed in my over 15 years of Using these types of properties. Check in was perfect and the property was perfection ! I would love other hosts learn from this one ! Attention to details in every way was a 12 of 10 !!!! Met the host after first night stay as she was checking on us to see if we were happy and I must say it was and she was great ! If you ever need a place in a off the road area that is 12 of 10 and such a comfortable property in all ways book this ! We will be back !

Watch for the dogs on the drive in

Loved the property, the only bad thing was the dogs that follwed our car when we drove in. They were someone elses dog but gps took us down the little alley where the little dogs were. It was very worriesome as we didnt want to hit or run them over.

Quiet ~ Simple ~ Comfortable

Though it's a bit of a drive, we chose this listing for our mother-daughter spring break get-away to Kansas City because the reviews were excellent and the price fit our budget. Don't expect anything the city has to offer in this small village of Mooresville. But DO expect a very comfortable, clean, quiet place to land and the attentive care of a gracious hostess (your next door neighbor, who drops by with fresh-baked cookies!). Everything we needed was provided -- Judy thinks of all the details. Thanks for a very comfortable home away from home.

First impression--very homey and welcoming. The property was clean and well organized and decorated; in fact, it was cozy and comfy! No complaints or issues to speak of. I have limited mobility, so sometimes bathtub showers cause me problems when I can't lift my feet over the side of the tub. I didn't have that problem this week, but, if I may suggest, it might be a good idea to install hand rails for older guests who need something to hold onto while getting in and out of the shower. All told, though, we enjoyed our visit immensely--it was just too short! Thank you, Judith, for a safe and comfortable haven.

A real Gem in an out-of-the-way place

Let's face it, Mooresville MO is in no danger of becoming too touristy. We were visiting because of excellent nearby birding sites. We were just hoping for a clean bed and good working kitchen. We did not expect to find the kind of pulled-together quality this little house offers. The open-plan interior is spotless and inviting. The fixtures and furnishings are modern and the kitchen is very well stocked by someone who obviously knows what a kitchen needs. The beds are firm (which we favor) and we slept very well. In other words, all the hardware you need is right at hand and in good working order. But we're experienced with rental houses and a bit stingy with stars, and the host is what added the 5th star to our rating. There is no convenience store in Mooresville (pop.91!) so there's a basket of snacks on the counter, and since we were celebrating a birthday, there were two pieces of cake with candles on the table when we arrived. Judy has mastered that difficult balance between being attentive and obtrusive. Everything we needed just seemed to magically appear. If birding is your thing, there are a lot of excellent accessible sites in a 30 mi. radius , even a nice population of bluebirds in the field overlooked by the porch. This house and host are worth going a little out of your way. HIGHLY recommended.

We had a wonderful stay. Judith’s place is comfortable, clean and quiet-exactly what we expected. The kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of dishes & full size appliances. Beds were comfortable & bathroom was stocked with nice towels & a few toiletries. Comfortable couch & good tv-perfect place to relax after a busy day. We definitely would stay here again! My husband Jack and I live in a very small rural community in Missouri. We love the quiet and peaceful atmosphere of small town living. We love to trout fish, garden, travel and being with family.

Why they chose this property

We built this property in 2014 with the intention of using it for storage and also a workshop. Our plans gradually changed and we decided to convert the property into a guest house for travelers. We love to meet people and our decision has been perfect.

What makes this property unique

Our guest house is quiet, peaceful and well furnished. Our kitchen is fully equipped for the person that would like to cook during their stay. A garage is available for a car or truck, even a small RV. We are close to Missouri Star Quit and also to the Amish community of Jamesport, Mo.
