Enjoy all East Texas has to offer at our charming lakeside cottage. Whether you are coming to be out on the lake, explore the surrounding area or just to relax in nature, we have the perfect spot for you! Knox cottage has Starlink internet, a nice deck, a fire pit, a charcoal BBQ grill. If you are coming to fish, we have space to park your boat and plenty of outlets to plug in. Knox cottage is 1 of 3 cottages at OCJ resort. We also have an event venue for hosting weddings, reunions, meetings and more!

Come explore our beautiful grounds! Our 11 acres are lakeside. We have a complimentary Kayak, canoe and rowboat to explore the lake with. Check out our beautiful tiered gardens or walk on our nature trail in our valley. We have yard games, board games, puzzles and basic fishing poles for your enjoyment. Kids can visit our laundry house/gift shop and pick up our valley animal scavenger hunt and complete it for a prize. Enjoy beautiful sunrises and the sights and sounds of nature.

Explore the area and visit nearby historic Jefferson for a meal and shopping, do a wine tasting or have dinner at Enoch's Stomp winery or Los PInos, or visit the famous 5D Cattle Company or Bear Creek Smokehouse.

Anniversary weekend

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We have visited several times and enjoy the peace and quiet of the property! We usually visit once or twice a year to regroup from the hustle and bustle of life in general and relax. Perfect weekend getaway!

Perfect retreat in a beautiful setting

Loved our stay here. The view of the lake is spectacular. The place was super clean and seemed like it had just been renovated, so everything felt new. The owners had a lot of nice and thoughtful touches, including having a fire pit full of wood and ready to be lit when we arrived. The bed was comfortable as well! I can only say good things about our stay and would highly recommend anyone to stay here as a nice getaway from busy life.

Weekend Getaway

Highly recommend! The cabin was cute, comfortable and clean. The weather didn’t cooperate with us but the cabin was cozy and warm. The games and puzzles provided helped to pass the time. The fire pit and wood that was provided was perfect! The kids spent hours on hours on the swing outside and had a blast! The scavenger hunt was a creative and a fun idea! The hosts were so kind and friendly and very quick with communication. Everything was exactly as described on the site and better. Neighbors in the cottage next door had run into some unexpected trouble and the hosts were amazing to them and helpful with their predicament. We loved our stay and will be back when the weather is warmer!
