The property is large and beautiful. Great for entertaining or even small gatherings. The kitchen and living room are perfect for dinners and gathering around some cocktails and snacks. Suggest adding some black out curtains to the master bedroom as the backyard lights can overpower the current blinds.

Family time at Christmas

The property is centrally located and spacious. The large backyard was the draw for our family and did not disappoint. However, the details of what guests would need were poorly planned or thought out before our arrival (ex, hangers, broom, mop, kitchen washcloths, etc.). The property had been cleaned superficially, but again, the details were missing. The outside sink and kitchen area had previously used beer cans and candles. The shower had someone else's hair in it. The carpets had items (barrettes, bottle caps) left behind in them and under them. We went without heat for three days due to a malfunctioning thermostat, which was finally resolved on Christmas Day. The mattresses have protectors on them, which is great, but there wasn't a mattress pad. So you ended up sleeping on a piece of plastic covered by a sheet, which made for cold, noisy, restless sleep. The mattresses were comfortable and no bed bugs. The natural gas fireplace worked, but there was no way to light it, which was a bummer. The pool was low on water and dirty. The turf was a nice touch, but the drains and low spots in the yard were covered up and therefore not visible until you stepped into them. Someone else's items were left out all over the yard. Overall, the property itself could be amazing and quite the find, but it's the details and thoughts that go into the stay before someone arrives that make or break the location. The forethought wasn't there and didn't seem to be a priority.
