Pohorje is a densely wooded, low mountain range in northern Slovenia. It's surrounded by the towns Maribor on the east, which is the second largest city in Slovenia, Dravograd (on the west) and Slovenske Konjice (on the south). It expands over the area of 1000 km2 south of the Drava River. It is a thickly wooded range without prominent summits. Its highest peak is Črni vrh (Black Peak). Geologically Pohorje is part of the Central Eastern Alps. Over the centuries it preserved its untouched natural beauty. Its mysterious forests once famous for dwarfs and other fairy tale creatures are a spectacular place to ski, relax and enjoy the nature, sports and fun.

Herzliches und gemütliches Winterwonderland
Wir (Familie mit Kindern) wurden so herzlich und offen empfangen in diesem idyllisch verschneiten, kleinen Häuschen und haben eine tolle Zeit im Wald von Pohorje verbracht, vielen Dank dafür, Klaudija. Du warst für alle unsere Belange jederzeit ansprechbar, sehr hilfsbereit und gastfreundlich, sodass wir unsere Tage um den Jahreswechsel in einer perfekten Schneelandschaft in vollen Zügen genießen konnten. Und du hast uns Lust auf Sommer in Pohorje gemacht!

It was pleasure to meet such nice people and have them as a guests. I hope we can do our best in the future too. They were friendly as our long term friends. We know that our cabin is not five star Hotel, but nature, local feeling and be host with passion is also very important part for our quests. We like that they feel very welcome. Try to teach them few Slovenian words.
